Bear rage duration is too low

I'll be the odd one out. It appears the idea is that the bear will rage for a short time, cast spells ( such as healing ), and then rage again in combat. If this is the goal then the duration is fine, but the bear needs a lot, lot more rages. At 6 rages max he runs out way too quickly and then spends 90% of the quest fighting unraged. Bear rage costs way to much AP for something that only effects 10% of the quest.

And that's a big problem for the Nature Protector tree. Because if you take out the rage and Spirit Renewed ( for it's crippling <33% requirement), I don't think there is enough left in the tree to get 41 AP without substantial burn. Is this a viable tree?
