Thank you those who have posted memories. They have been lovely to read and remember.

We really love playing DDO, and a large part of why is because of the truly kind people who play this game. Christy (mostly Flirtybratt for us) was one of the best, and I have tears in my eyes as I write this.

Her characters were super-good, but she never made you feel like she was better. She would just pick up the slack and make everyone feel like a contributor. The best part is that all of this would be done in the background, while she kept up a friendly (and helpful) chat with everyone.

    We'll really miss her,
    Chakari & Brunah
You've summed her up so well in parties. This is so true. I will miss her so much.

This is very sad news, she was such a good and nice player. I'm not very active but I remember teaming with her a few times, it was always a good experience. Sadly I won't be there to participate. It's a great idea to organize raids in her honor.

Learning of her passing was tough for a lot of people. She was well respected and loved by many on the server and the words left here are just a small portion of the sadness and grief that's gone through our server. Many of us have never seen, let alone met each other, outside the game but with some Khyberians having a decade or more time grouping, laughing, and crying with the same group of people we've grown into a type of family, sometimes dysfunctional but always caring. Flirty will be missed, but we still have the memories of the joy that she's brought to so many on our little piece of the Internet.

Reminder this is on this Friday night 9pm EST.

Flagging from 7pm EST if you need it. Be warned of that update some years back that reset flagging for FoT - please check picking up the raidcearly if you havent checked recently.

It will be a fairly relaxed run - Bratt was into making people feel comfortable. We're doing this to honour her and remember her.

The first BrattyTop raid I ever did was FoT. It was my first time and I was nervous to admit it. Sometimes people are rude to "noobs". I sucked it up before we started and said how it was my first. She was so cool about it. She patiently explained the raid and the mechanics in a way that was simple to follow. She joked with me about my dracolich cherry getting popped and made what could have been a stressful situation easy. I will miss Bratty raids...

I've run with Poppy and Bratty many times. They'd be not likely to remember me because of my massive case of Alt-Itis, but I'll not forget one night for sure. Me and my wife were just tooling around Eveningstar when Pop had posted a quick Druid's Deep EE run. We joined, and it just was us and them. They were so happy to see a couple playing together that, even though she was tired, we completed the entire chain. I don't usually run EE (although my wife loves it) but it was so relaxing and friendly, we could have been zerging Korthos on a mess of level 30s.

I always wanted another shot at that, and am broken up that it'll not happen.

This weekend, all my guild should get together to run some stuff on the Official Stream (twitch.tv/ddostream) and we'll have a shoutout to FlirtyBratt as we do our thing.

Now excuse me, I need to listen to Billy Joel's "Say Goodbye to Hollywood" and destroy a car in the wrecking yard with my nine-pound sledge as I work out my rage at the general unfairness of life.

    Default Absolutely floored

I was watching sesame street with my son this morning when I read the news of Flirtybratt. Aaron Neville and Ernie then began singing "I don't want to live on the moon" I absolutely lost it. He said to me "Daddy why are you crying" I said "I lost a friend buggy, daddy's sad" He wrapped me in a big hug and gave me a kiss and I noticed i was holding him just a bit tighter than I did yesterday and I realized that this was the best way i could honor her, by loving harder, by giving more, by doing more. What a tragic loss for humanity in general. Others have said it but it bears saying again. She was nice to every single person who was lucky enough to cross her path. I truly believe that she single handedly proved that you don't need to be an elitist or snob to be a major player in this game and I cant think of one single person who has made a greater impact on the way I treat people in groups. Setting the bar for class and excellence in a way only she could.

I hadn't heard this very sad news until today, and I want to echo my guildmate Galteen's sentiments. I've run a lot of maps over the years with Flirtybratt and Poppy (on Palefist or Zaanaya) and she was always friendly and funny, not to mention a skilled gamer and genuine team player. My sincere condolences on your loss Poppy, and she will be greatly missed on Khyber. I have to go out tonight but hopefully I'll be home in time to find a spot in one of the remembrance raids.

We at MAC mourn those we lose in the Khyber communtiy, as we have suffered as well.

Our thoughts are with our fellow guilds and players on the passing of Flirtybratt.

We will do our best to carry her spirit forward for others.

Flagging begins 45mins from now although various groups are already flagging.

Please check your flagging - remember there was that update that meant a reset some years back that caused having to re-flag if you are bringing a character you haven't run for a while.

Deepest condolences I just heard about Flirty's passing today.

I ran with Flirty and poppy many times with many of my alts.
I will monitor the raids when they are filling and will join if any have trouble filling in the late stages.

Flirty was a fixture on Khyber and her presence in all ways will be missed.

There are a few people whose presence meant a good time, and lots of laughter.

She was one of them, and I'll miss that a lot.

Default A sad day. A huge loss.

I didn't realize it until I looked into the raiding group today. I just read the title of this thread and didn't really think that it was what it meant.

    I'm sorry for everybody's loss.

Her loved ones, friends, not only in Khyber but also in real life.

    Godspeed, flirtybratt...

4 raids of FoT and 1 of Deathwyrm.

My thanks to Poppy, Sway, Texana, Haunt, Ozz, Benton, Astri, Saal and many others for helping with the flagging and the leading of those raids.

The text of what I read today:

We’re doing this today because we really like Bratty. And we miss her. She was kind, she was fun, and she was an excellent player.

FlirtyBratt left us at the start of the weekend, 2 weekends ago, being found unexpectedly gone after a heart attack.

So today we come together to run Fall of Truth - just for fun and to remember.

    As Poppy says:
Fot was her favorite raid, although she had never ever ever done it before

FoT was how Poppy got to know Bratt for the first time - the BrattyTop partnership has many achievements in the Achievements forums. Many nights of raiding would finish with a final FoT.

She was an excellent player - and she was very kind to those of us who are not at the same level of play

Bratt we’ll miss you. And we’ll remember you - glad we had the chance to know you.

Please enjoy your run today as you remember Bratty. Please share what you remember. Hope you have fun.

The fuller text that I decided was too long:

We’re doing this today because we really like Bratty. And we miss her. She was kind, she was fun, and she was an excellent player.

FlirtyBratt left us at the start of the weekend, 2 weekends ago, being found unexpectedly gone after a heart attack.

So today we come together to run Fall of Truth - just for fun and to remember.

    As Poppy says:
Fot was her favorite raid, although she had never ever ever done it before
possibly because I had declined her from party once... she was so mad about that

FoT was how Poppy got to know Bratt for the first time - the BrattyTop partnership has many achievements in the Achievements forums. Many nights of raiding would finish with a final FoT.

She was an excellent player - and she was very kind to those of us who are not at the same level of play

One of the people who ran with her: Her characters were super-good, but she never made you feel like she was better. She would just pick up the slack and make everyone feel like a contributor. The best part is that all of this would be done in the background, while bbshe kept up a friendly (and helpful) chat with everyone.

So today we are running Fall of Truth. It was a long standing joke that she had never ever ever done it before. Ever. Ever. And yet Poppy as raid leader would assign her to the Reaver tank position, the most responsible position in the raid. So that pugs joining would get a bit worried if this raid leader knew what he was doing assigning someone who had never done the raid before. Bratty’s character though would take the Reaver from almost full to nothing in no time flat and neatly complete the raid.

We’ve also been in some amazing runs in really hard content with Bratt. Shadowdragon, Fire dragons, Stradh, Whisper runs, reaper 10 questing. More than one Mark of Death has been saved with Bratt as the last one standing after all jibbers were gone.

Bratt we’ll miss you. And we’ll remember you - glad we had the chance to know you.

Thank you to everyone who came out to raid in Flirtybratt's memory, she enjoyed raiding and questing and helping me get raid ready, even when I wasn't sure I was ready for the raid. I remember doing GH quests with her and Poppy and we would do the whole saga on EE, even though she hated the spiders in TBF, so Poppy and I would run ahead and kill as many as we could before she got to them. Thank you Meli for setting this raid night up and I was glad to help flag people since Bratt was always helping others to flag as well. Seeing the turn out tonight makes me wish I could be half the woman that she was.

    In loving memory,

    Saal
