What should they sound like?

I would love to have a Tim Curry / Muppet Treasure Island sounding gem from Crystal Cove, particularly if it sings like he did, but that's probably totally unrealistic.

Would the mimic be based upon the one in Acute Delirium? That could be fun.

Yaulthoon one could be fun, though the abbot was unbelievably whiny; as fitting as it'd be for his remains to end up in a sentient weapon gem, it'd be really aggravating.

The Nights Revel one should be a zombie. Purely a different range of groans, with no dialog.

Night Revels went in an interesting direction last year, introducing Light themed items. As such, I would like to see an Angelic Gem, supportive and uplifting, voiced by the person who plays Lady Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings Online, and a Diabolical Gem, in the voice of a Night Hag, from that event.

Exploiters ruined the Mimic Hunt so we will not see that any time soon.

Crystal Cove definitely needs a pirate Gem voiced by Scott McNeil.

Yes, Gem of the Pirate, Gem of the Fashionable, Gem of the Villain!

Could alternatively have Malicia's voice actor do the voiceover for Gem of the villain, since she's from Mabar.

Fair point, with the right lines the VA for him could do a great job - could be an interesting take on it too to have a sentient gem that actively hates you & cheers when you get hit or killed.
