Default Looking for advice on a pure warlock build to finish completionist

Yes I realize that I am probably the only person playing DDO who saved warlock for last but there was a method to my madness. My plan was to stay warlock while I round out the remaining EPL's I need for epic completionist before heroic TRing again. I typically run heroic elite or R1 and epic normal daily speed runs so I am mainly looking for speed and efficiency and less in the way of survivability.

I have played Fey pack on another character and was considering going GOO but I am struggling with giving up misty escape. my cannith crafting is just shy of 300 so I can make any bound insightful items (subject to mats) that I might need and with the anniversary event going on I have easy access to the acid forum post. Looks like most warlock builds are GOO at this time? Just looking for a solid, no frills, pure warlock build to round out my heroic lives.

    Thanks

I know of others that do it differently - but here is how I play it out.

Max Cha, Max Con, 12 Int.
Concentration, Spellcraft, some UMD, some Jump. The rest doesnt matter much.

Feind (for Hurl, but any kind works)
Craft Force + Fire spell power and spell lore for level 2-9.
    a) Grab Feigned Health + False Life (spell) for easy self healing early on
    b) Beeline for Cone (7 ap spent) and then Stanch (11 ap spent)
    c) At level 8 add a set of Slavers caster gear
    c) At level 10 take Utterblast and switch to light damage. Same level craft a load of gear including insightful effects. Make sure to get Evards (a major killer for the next few levels and CC all the way up)
    d) At level 12 swap enhancements to ES for Shining and Bursts + Utterdark Blast in TS.
    e) Regain Stanch in TS.
    f) Add points into TS until you get the 4th core for DW as a spell (convinience)

R1 is easy and relatively fast on this build, and from level 12 I do many quests on R2-R4 without much hassle. With a friend R3 is easy.

I am with you on misty escape... so good... wings on steroids

With that sort of commitment I assume you might want to start running exclusively reaper. I think goo is the best right now because it goes off a will save which on average are the lowest which translates to more damage overall. Sonic has the least amount of enemies with immunities or resistance, acid is next followed by fire. Beyond that Ottos' sphere of dancing and irresistible dance will be sorely missed, but phantasmal killer is awesome for heroic and not bad for epics. Mass suggestion is situationally really good even low to mid skulls to deal with mobs. Dominate person and create thrall are useful higher skulls.

On epics you will really get used to power kill to take out those high-fort enemies you can't instakill. Also for epics, being able to synergize on acid for your energy burst and pact damage helps with slotting. You can get by with just light and utterdark for et,. but if you ever want to sit at cap force is huge not just for tentacles, but also ruin, greater ruin and arcane pulse. But even for heroic and epic leveling I like maxing my force for tentacles. So without sonic its easier to slot light, force and acid. With sonic in the mix something has to give.

I would highly recommend DC casting over a dps or tanky build for what you want to do. It's quite simply more versatile and stronger in my opinion. The build in my sig has some advice on heroic leveling and the feat order is what I use every life although without completionist just shift everything up 3 levels and take past life wizard or force of personality at 18.

For gear I would look at something like this if you have a lot of mats for crafting. Its so much simpler to use the same basic gear set all the way to 30.

    Level 1-9:

    Gloves: Radiance of Healing Amp
Ring 1: Light Lore of Sheltering
    Ring 2: Persuastion False Life
    Trinket: Spell Saves Wizardry
    Boots: Spellsight of Strength
    Belt: Dodge Deathblock
    Hat: Concentration, Spell Focus Mastery
    Goggles: Intelligence, Spell Penetration
    Bracers: Resistance, Fortification
    Armor: Fearsome Invulnerability
    Necklace: Constitution Charisma
Weapon 1: Impulse of Force Lore
Weapon 2: Corrosion of Acid Lore
Hat: Intelligence Spellsight (a little boost to universal spell power)

Although at low levels I use deadly, etc. with swords and then once I have cone switch to casting.

    Level 10+:

    Gloves: Impulse, Resistance, Insightful Impulse
Ring 1: Force Lore , False Life, Insightful Con
Ring 2: Acid Lore, Sheltering, Insightful PRR
Trinket: Light Lore, Spell Penetration, Insightful MRR
    Boots: Dodge Strength, Ins Dodge
Belt: Burnscar Sash (for stacking acid spellpower)
    Weapon 1: Radiance, Insightful Radiance
    Weapon 2: Corrosion, Insightful Corrosion
Hat: Intelligence, Spell Focus Mastery, Ins Spellsight
    Necklace: Constitution, Charisma, Ins Charisma
Goggles: Conj focus, Ins Conj focus, Ins spell pen (I have also evocation and necro versions). I use conj until higher heroic levels for the dps.
Bracers: Spell Saves, Fortification, Ins fortification
    Armor: Vitality, Healing Amp, Parrying
Cloak: Mysterious Cloak with master's gift and feather fall slotted

At 12 you can slot deathblock, until 12 you can use deathward potions or just hope you don't roll a 1. I've had no issue with getting instakilled 10-11.
