    Default Swashbuckling with Savior

    Anybody thought about this possibility?

I like all the mods on Savior. Its damage mods (all 3 - 9d6 Bludgeoning, 9d6 Force, 9d6 Sonic) are hard to resist and the Paralyzing power looks good, too.

The weapon's finesseable so you can swashbuckle with it.

Might make the PERFECT weapon for a Gnome Bard.

Anyone know of a link to such a Bard build using light hammers here on the forums?

EDIT: It certainly doesn't have to be a Gnome. Drow make great Swashbucklers!

Don't have a link, but it does sound like a cool idea

    I'd say something like:

    15 Bard/3 Fighter/2 Rogue

35 in Swash (4 cores + Thread the Needle, CdG, and Exploit Weakness)

13 in Stalwart Defense for the +20% HP

13 in Harper for KtA, Int to Hit, Int to Dmg

That leaves 19 AP + any Racial AP for other options. Possibilities include Warchanter for Ironskin Chant, 2 AP in Vistani for +2 to saves vs evil and Favored Enemy: Undead, Kensei for Haste Boost/other stuff, or Gnome for the weapon training. Spellsinger for Magical Training is an option, but feats might be better than AP for that depending on what you take. Don't bother with the permablur since you're a bard lol.

Usual feats apply, so SWF line, SM line, precision, extend/quicken would be nice too Insightful Reflexes would go great with light armor + Int too. For epics you'll be able to take Inspire Excellence, as well as the melee dps feats. If you can't fit in Magical Training, 4 AP in Spellsinger gives it to you.

Hmmm, the crit bonuses don't stack, but you can get up to +6 damage from the Weapon Training enhancements. Maybe go INT-based with Harper?

Not really anything special to it; take any Swashy and grab IC:Blunt instead of IC:Pierce or Slash. Run in LD for Pulverizer's +1 stacking crit range bonus.

    Default Gnome is very Gnice

Having played every race as a bard, I can tell you that the extra racial dodge cap is pretty sweet--almost monk-like, which is imperative for reapers.
Balladeer Blackcloud (don't step on my Blue Slaad shoes!), Phantom Company (now you see us, now you don't).
My Alts on Sarlona include Archi Medes, Pythagoras (Knows the Angles!), Techmech, Deepshade, and Doctrine.

Yeah, I noticed that after I posted. Might go Drow instead.

Scourge then? Pure 20 bard dex based?

(Ew, I can't believe I actually suggested a pure build.)
