Time to revisit spears?

One of the oldest weapon types, there's no 2handed piercing weapon type in the game at all (though admittedly there are a few specific named items but it's not like you make thrusting attacks in the quarterstaff style), and we've seen the good work done by the new animator who handled the vistani fighting style, which while cool, only applies to dual dagger users... a spear could be used by far more classes & builds, even 1-handed with a shield - there's already the ability to use a supposedly 2-handed only item with something in the off-hand (crossbows & rune arm combo) so there's surely potential for another.
