DDO Store in External Browser

Is there a way that I can open the ddo store in game instead of having it lower the game to desktop and opening the ddo store in a external browser? Thanks in advance.

Yes, there is an option to do this in the UI settings. However, if you are on a particularly old operating system (pre-Windows 7) then the Store needs to open externally.

I'm on a Mac that’s running 10.12.6 (<1 yr old), and the store still opens externally. Is this WAI?

Yes, unfortunately the Mac client requires an external browser.

Running on Win 10 1909
Checkbox in UI setttings is checked off, toggling on anf off didnt fix it.
Its been like that for a couple patches and Im tired of it.
Any workarounds / solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running the game through Steam? Due to the way the Steam payment system works, they had to force the external browser for all Steam users. If this is the cause, you can fix it by downloading and installing the game directly from the SSG website instead of through Steam, so that you don't have to use the Steam Wallet for payments.

I suspect this is very likely the problem if it's been that way for "a couple patches" because they made the change a couple patches ago when Steam payments broke catastrophically.
