I remember a cooldown like that before in previous releases and since I don't see it every time, I didn't think it was a big thing.

However, Cordovan, if it is supposed to happen every time: it is not. Are there any rules around it, like hot swapping main hand only, offhand only, swapping main and off only? I just want to make sure that I am understanding the change so I don't file a useless bug report.

Shouldn't it take an action or turn when you swap weapons to a clicky and then back? In fact, one second is too short. In other games, one turn is 2 seconds.

I know of people using speed hacks to make their characters run faster, hit faster, etc. Its just not fair that they are so many cheaters.

Two days ago, I saw a Chinese player on Sarlona from Chinese Team logged on with 3 characters playing in a reaper group. While multi-boxing is okay when you are playing with just your characters; its not ethical to have other players helping you to have 3 chances of looting in a dungeon instead of just 1. Its unfair to other players.

Technically there is no way to ever stop multi boxers. For a person to invest in all those resources to get 3 chances for an item, more power to them I think. When it comes down to it, a large portion of users in ddo have strong enough hardware to single player 12 man things. They would have to have clever tools to manage them all, but they theoretically could.

And newer hardware rigs could be 12 boxes, 12 monitors, setup in a big array, and you use a mouse/keyboard switching app to control all 12 with one mouse and keyboard. It would just take a lot of dedication and skill to manage a full party raid with one player controlling them all. And probably be pretty exciting/challenging for a while.

Yet again, you guys choose to inconvenience and negatively impact the gameplay experience for the majority of the players (non-exploiters) just for the sake of stopping something a small minority of the players were exploiting.

Great job guys! Keep it up! I just love being screwed by proxy for something I wasn't doing.

Maybe you could try addressing the problem directly with the players that are causing it rather than using kindergarten discipline and punishing the whole class? That'd be swell.

Please fix it properly then. This is a garbage solution that prevents normal gameplay mechanics, it's trivially reproduceable (set up some weapon sets with keyboard cycling and go through them; watch it break hilariously), and without going into major histrionics, this is the proverbial straw for me.

If it's a temp fix to alleviate the caching issue, I'm all for it. But I'm done until it gets fixed correctly. And if it truly is WAI, thanks for the years.

Put the buff on the DAGGER and not the CHARACTER. Bam, problem solved.

Don't forget the Festival ingredients like Revels that expire and are useless now. This was an earlier punitive measure made by the devs which punished every single player in the game because of a few cheaters. They slapped a quick fix on it-didn't care a bit about the player outrage and effort- and moved on.
They will do the same thing with this.

Still trying to sort out how they can do that legally, since they sell increased ingredient drop-rate pots in the store for real money. Then forcibly render them useless at a time of their choosing.

Or, if the issue is just one item, attach the ICD to that item, and don't make it a global kludge. If that's possible, of course.

Except that items retain properties if you reincarnate before they expire.

I SOOOO rarely complain about this game. Almost to the point that I can't remember a time I did, but FFS fix this 1 second delay.

How does this apply to me? I have trapping skills on all 35 of my toons. When I walk up to trap I swap over my Search and Disable items and search then I disable. When I used to click on these items it was done. Now I'm waiting a second in between each. I hear people squawking about 'a 1s delay' but when it's done a dozen times a quest then it becomes an annoyance. Also, I have quickdraw on a lot of my toons since I swap over quickly for a reaper killer weapon. I'm sensing this was a waste of a feat.

As many have said, fix the problem, ban the exploiters, holy hell....

Ok.. I'm done complaining. I'll get used to the delay and live with it because I LOVE this game and appreciate all the work y'all do. Thank you very much and see you in the game.
