Cormyrian Armor Appearances

I have been meaning to do this for a while, so here it is! I ran a bunch of the Eveningstar challenges (I really like them actually) and bought some armors so you all can take a look and see if there are any you want to turn into cosmetics (their effects aren't very good compared to armors of the same level available today). Cormyrian weapons also have some really cool looks, but that is a post for another day.

I am personally a big fan of the breastplate and chainmail and I have the robe for my warlock which looks pretty cool. I have seen the look of the leather armor before on random generated celestial leather armor (24+).

make them level 24 so you can feed them after to your sentinents for 120 xp instead of 20

Unfortunately I have no female characters so the best I can do is put what cosmetics I have made on a new character. The armor is all BtC, but cosmetics are BtA. Here are the ones I have:

The female armor leaves her very...breezy, compared to the male armor. I wonder if there is a display issue (it's happened before) or if art peeps at SSG were feeling lonely when they made these.

To be fair, SSG has been much better when it comes to female armor than when Turbine was in control. It's probably not a display issue, although I thought the chainmail looked a little funky.

I just checked and the Purple Dragon Knight Robe from the Game Store actually looks different than the Challenge Robe! The Game Store version features purple shoulder and hip padding. The Challenge Robe features dark gray shoulder and hip padding.

On a female character, the Challenge Half Plate Armour features a large neck scoop, front and back, just like the Purple Dragon Knight Heavy Armour from the Game Store. It otherwise covers the entire body in cat suit manner.

I just made a Robe and set of Leather Armour.

The gray parts of the Robe are a medium gray and wrap all the way around the back. Other than the colour difference, it is the exact same as the Purple Dragon Knight Robe from the Game Store.

On a female character the Heirloom Cormyrian Leather Armour is identical to the Leathers of the Woodsman, save for the sleeves.

I am debating if I want to make the Outfit.

To be fair, SSG has been much better when it comes to female armor than when Turbine was in control. It's probably not a display issue, although I thought the chainmail looked a little funky.

There have been display errors on other armor before that looks similar. You can tell because a specific entire layer is missing. Since others reported coverage when they got the armor on the female toons, it’s a display issue, perhaps related to making it a cosmetic. I would bug report it.

I tried out the breastplate and it indeed was showing some skin. Glammer before they fix it lol! Here is the leather on a small model before being fed to my sentient weapon

Agreed. The Cormyrian Green Dragonhide armor has a similar look even for male characters so I always put a cosmetic over it.

Cormyrian leather armor is a design fail IMO. It could have been purple or gray or combination of purple and gray like Robes or Breastplate.

We also don't have any black leather armor in game (like Shrouded Armor from Oblivion or Skyrim), which is a shame.

Seriously, brown leathers look too ordinary, like an ordinary unenchanted leather armor for a level 1 noob toon that costs 1 gold coin.

Leathers for high level epic toons need to be colored black, red, purple, combination of these colors. Not a common brown...
