    Default In-game quality of life suggestions for LFM and other

    1. Search bar when looking for quest names.

    3. Change druid spell component icon to differ from cleric/fvs or just merge it with the ones that ranger uses.

    4. Spell that didn't hit( because 'you were not facing the target' or other lag related issue ) would not lose spellpoints and get it's cooldown reset.

    5. Add option in Stone of Change to exchange khyber fragments and unbound Elixirs of Mnemonic Enhancement(sp pots) for a BTA variation of same amount of spell points. With free sp from reaper mode and as free daily dice rewards it makes the old sp pots just clutter up on a mule character never being used because they usually just get destroyed and wasted if taken in questing and ended up losing their value completely.

    6. Option for Queing up people for raid party without actually being in a raid party. If it's taking 100-120mins to fill a 'endgame' raid like Strahd on a weekend I'd rather use that time farming for Heart Seeds or favor runs without having restrictions of a raid party where all i can do is watch a movie or play a different game while waiting(not a good sign for mass multiplayer and please save your 'well it depends what non Orien server and time fraction of day you play on' comments). And no - I'm not playing on Wayfinder.

    7. Reaper experience shared on account. Couldn't stress this enough, irritating to anyone who likes variety in playing different toons at different levels, If anything I see potential for people buying more learning tomes and xp pots becouse people get innitiative to play more than one character that's a any race borelock and not worry about playing a different character in a rpg.

    8. Entrance to Eveningstar in Marketplace's Hall of Heroes available if you got Key to Eveningtar in inventory. Having 2 different Halls is just a failed cash grab attempt to sell Eveningstar login ports that are annoying to use if you have one of those anyway due to a required log off - not like we don't have enough of loading screens in this game.

    9. Add farshifter to teleport to abandoned places like Sands of Menachtarun, High Road, Sorrowdusk Isle, King's Forest, Red Fens, etc like the ones in Orchad or even Ravenloft where you didn't need complete before to gain access of using. Exploration is fun but should be optional not a 2-5min commitment every time before even starting a quest.

    10. An option, like in GW2, to join underleveled quest groups where you still get a modified amount of xp but your character's level/hp/critchance/power/etc. is reduced to the base level of the dungeon while he/she keeps current level abilities/unlocks.

    Great suggestions.

    1. Yes.

    2. Social panel really needs a complete rework. Friends level listing is all wrong, also wouldn't mind seeing current location in game and last login date.

    3. Yes.

    4. Definitely.

    5. Unsure on this one. I'd rather increase character bank space, I think it's kind of strange (and unusual for an MMO) to have a very small amount of individual character bank space compared to shared bank. Also, if sp pots are outdated due to reaper spell point stuff, then why not just sell em?

    6. This sounds more like an issue with how raid groups form. If the person in charge of the raid knows you want to join and saves you a spot until the raid is ready, what's the difference? Opinion might change here if I raided more and saw this issue for myself.

    7. I would support secondary characters getting a share of reaper xp (like all other characters get 20% of what you get on the character you are playing), not sure how I feel about all characters on account getting it all automatically. Would have to think more about it.

    8. Yes! I can't stress this enough, when I got back into the game recently and someone was telling me about the Halls of Heroes, it just seemed strange. There's 2 but they are different... Okay. Merge into one or at the very least have an easy way to go between. Maybe when you click on the entrance in the market, get an option as to which you want to go to, if that would be simpler to implement.

    9. Agreed. I don't think more ports take away from the game. However, I also like having more added to Greater Teleport (which right now is generally considered inferior to regular Teleport) and I like the idea of folks that have access to teleport having more options than those that can walk up to any Farshifter. But I would definitely support more destinations to GT and a Farshifter that allows access to a few distant locations would also be an improvement.

    I figured mnemonic pot conversion and shared reaper xp suggestions would be the ones harder to settle up. Personally most of these and similar along with connectivity issues are quite deal breaking for a video game for me. What's saving it is probabaly some of the population remains that refuse to get a steam or other similar chat account, making DDO a glorified 10GB chat at times. :/


    Mnemonic conversion from unbound to btc/bta - tricky one due it being known a dupe item for years, possibly making it abusable in in-game's economy. Personally feel like the damage has already been done with that(I know people would disagree), and people who would benefit doing so the most already did back when playerbase was bigger and demand for unbound 105-600sp pots(current best in store potions are 605-800, something old pots can't compete imo) was bigger. Keeping in mind that there's a item monitor system now, that would help prevent future duping. Regarding why people still keep them in inventory when they got devalued instead of selling them? - I don't see them being sold too well due to being too squishy to ever being used before getting destroying in current game and guess most subconsciously waiting for the btc/bta conversion option to happen? Like I said - tricky one, but i could see it happen if some +1TP store item instead of khyber shards gets involved, because desperation trough micro transactions.

    Shared Reaper xp - I like seeing it as when bta items got introduced. The convenience of them making them sometimes more valuable then previous btc raid loot that eventually get's turned in to a feeder becouse of newer powercreep items. Don't think anyone really would care which character someone grinded out rxp the most just to have access to all of his/hers characters. This is not a intuitive idea for me either, only counter argument for that i see is:'well YOU NEED to grind our rxp seperately becouse players hate themselves and doing same chore over and over again on one character makes it special'. Current system just segregates characters more and caters to dual-hexa boxers. Your suggestion for personal % rxp going to account pool seems interesting, just think 100% going to overall account count be less complicated to execute for devs.

    I wouldn't mind seeing more Teleport(like Hall of Heroes) and Greater Teleport(King's forest, High road... with Eveningstar Key in inventory as requirement to use?) options either.

    The more I think about it I like shared reaper xp. There's plenty to grind in this game already and getting a lot of reaper points on even one character is a LOT of work. Perhaps make some cosmetic option only for the character that got the xp (like only the main character gets the wings?). That gives you something special without taking anything away stat-wise from your other characters.

    Not a beta player. I missed being a founder, got into the game shortly after it came out though and have come and gone a few times over the years. Keep find myself coming back to it, lots of good things about this game compared to other MMOs. I particularly like that while there are some balance issues, this game has not fallen into the trap of others like WoW where every class can now do everything and options like talent trees have been dumbed down to almost trivial choices such that every player of class X feels exactly the same.

    Good point, I'm all for bragging rights being associated to specific non store purchasable cosmetics rather then powercreep items aswell.

    Good thread and ideas. We're seeing a lot of QoL threads recently, seems this game is in desperate need of a number of quality enhancements. I really wish they woudl just devote an entire update to qol updates/updating old named loot etc. Lots of things in this game feel obsolete and abandoned.

    Thanks! Haven't checked other threads like this myself, on flipside I guess it means players are still kicking and want the game to feel less chore like and commit to it longer. I don't think any of us asking alot like to switch to an active combat system or voice every npc, or worse - for game not to have any lag. Having a full Thunderholm slayer party and NOT get mass DC's while people saying '**** this game' and ragequitting would just be silly, right?
