Race cosmetic.

How difficult would it to implement a racial look cosmetic? I love to have a different racial look and able to use my races enhancements but i'm not particularly found of that races looks.

It's called "Character Generation."

First, you pick the race you want to play and then after that you can customize the way it looks.

I think it might be incredibly difficult for them to create say an elven cosmetic for a halforc. That being said, if you are Racial TRing, and you absolutely cannot stand the way some particular races look *cough*half-elf*coughcough*PDK*cough* you might try full head covering helms such as:

Executioner's Helm


Halcyonia


Sightless


If your issue is more the body shape/size on PDK/halforc or the seeming and unappealing gender neutrality of warforged/dragonborn, I'm afraid you are somewhat out of luck. Find an armor or robe that you love and try to focus on that till you are back playing a race you like.

Also, let us wear illusory costumes or permanently shape change into other races like dryads and medusa. This ability already exists in the game (Gem of Kobold Disguise, Taken Cookie). Just expand the options! Oh! Make such illusory costumes and shape change options festival rewards and give us some new things to earn!

There was a time when I'd have disagreed with this on general principal. Now, I don't really care if the person in my group is a Warforged masquerading as a Halfling (or vice-versa), or not. While I'd not make use of such a feature - other people might find their game time better spent; and it's their game to play, not mine. Hell, it may even encourage people gunning for racial past-lives & more time on the gerbil wheel is what this game has become all about.

If people want to do this - fine. Just make the purchasable Store item almost stupidly expensive, and I'd be okay with it.

And how about a skin color change first?

I just bought a deep gnome and he has a very poor choice of skin colors. It would be nice to be able to drink some liquid that could change skin color just like hair color can be changed...

I've asked for that before. There used to be a potion from turning in ice-games coins that briefly turned your skin color blue. I would like a selection of cosmetic skin colors just like hair dyes but the suggestion has never gotten any traction.

But nothing can help those mutant PDK.
Those are in definite need of a cosmetic overlay.

I would like it for certain races particularly:

PDK, they should be able to look human not freakish.

Half Elf to be able to look like an elf or human
Half Orc to be able to pass off as human

The Disguise spell and Skill would also make great additions to DDO. Rogue Assassins with the Disguise skill could then fool Monster Champions with True Sight, thus returning a unique function to that class!
