Radeon HD 7700 and new AMD 17.12.1 driver

After installing this driver, I've found that if I use a scroll of teleport or move into a tavern after a quest I get a blank red screen and the sound locks up into this shrill tone. It just continues and I am forced to hard reset the computer.
This driver introduced some new features...
I'm not savvy enough to do or explain anything further, as programming is not my thing. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had an issue with this driver.

Rolling back to 17.11.1 fixes this.

The bugcheck was:
0x1000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff801699f7460, 0xffffe180394cb598, 0xffffe180394cade0)

I had similar problem when going from 15.x.x to 16 when they updated the gui. I uninstalled Relive. This seemed to fix it. I have been skeptical of each new update since. Usually wait a week or two for them to bug fix. Currently running 17.7.

Usually check AMD's FB page for irate customers before updating.

hmm. I have a AMD RX 560 2gb, with a AMD Ryzen 3 1200. When updating i did not experiece this problem at all. Hmm that is weird, however randomly i have had 1-3 seconds freeze. This is not because of my hardware as i average over 100fps

The problem is resolved by getting an Nividia gpu. Just kidding love my GPU but I would rather trust an AMD rig.
