game crashing

ok so i just got windows 10 and a new system in general. i have a geforce 770 video card. anyways ddo keeps crashing talking about directx 10 not working. So ive installed the newest drivers and still nothing. even going down to 9x it crashed and something about 3d then. Now this is the only game it crashes. i can play total warhammer with no issues or Dust elysian tail or even town of salem. so its become impossible to play when it just locks up anytime then crashes.

ok course there was the lagging and near dc as well on argo. so not sure if that means much.

DDO seems to have issues with Directx every time there is a new update.

DDO seems to have issues with Directx every time there is a new update.

well this is my first time on this system and all. so normally i don't have that problem. I'm just wondering if anyone has any answers for my situation as to why its not working.

My wife is using Windows 10. She hasn't been able to play at all since the update on 12-6-2017. Her error messages indicate that Direct X 9.0c or higher is not installed. She has Direct X installed.

I'm not having any problems with Windows 7.

Windows comes with directx. The game also downloads directx if it doesn't detect it. The question is why is directx not recognized after every update?

I had similar problems it turned out to be caused by 2 issues. First was windows 10 updates not installing correctly, look up how to run DISM.exe and sfc.exe on the Microsoft website. If you look up sfc.exe the other one will be included with it.

The second was I had to do a clean install of my graphics drivers and software. Your graphics card manufacturer should have the instructions.
I don't know if it will fix your problem but it did mine.
