arriving at the end of the quest the last boss when he runs out of life does not die, you have to push it into the water so that you complete the quest ... could you fix this bug in a timely manner?
That's not a bug. That's how you're supposed to defeat him. When you DPS him down to negatives the GM pops up and even says something like "this isn't working, maybe there's another way!"

I actually avoided dragging him into the water entirely for fear of him resetting. Eventually, after wailing on him for 10min, I figured, eh, either he's bugged or the pond is important: might as well take the risk.
I'd say the problem isn't so much that pond isn't obvious, but experience teaches players that water + boss mobs = work down the drain.
The threadkiller has spoken.
Fight Strahd in the water. He dies faster because I think it stops his incredible fast healing. Not 100% sure on that, but I think it's the case. I kill him faster in the water. Ok, I don't really kill him he just realizes this is a waste of his time.
You can go in the water as soon as Strahd shows up in a rage. You can't enter the water until he appears.
At any rate, yes it's the water that eventually makes Strahd retreat. This is intentional and kind of awesome. Vampires, even super powerful ones like Strahd, don't like water, especially if that water is holy.

There's an implication that the pond is full of holy water.
Those are not pebbles surrounding the urn filled with Human teeth. They are megaliths!
