Howler's Vengence-(New effect I thought of) can only proc once every 15 minutes upon Iron Defender's Death or wolf's death, for every enemy close to the fallen Iron Defender (Scales to a Maximum of 10 enemies), a burst of quills is shot out as an AOE damage effect dealing 4D6 constitution damage and 116 to 696 piercing damage.

If equipped to a wolf-Your wolf now resembles a Howler

If equipped to an iron defender-Your iron defender now resembles a "Terminator howler" (In the terminator movie series, the character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger had his flesh damaged at some points thus revealing pieces of his true machine self where the skin had been damaged and torn away from it. I wish to see this kind of aesthetic for the Iron Defender, Howler flesh on top, Iron Defender Beneath with little patches showing the iron defender portions)
