    Default Enhanced Ki Augments

Can you add a Topaz or Sapphire line with Enhanced Ki? You have given bards a source for anthem in a Topaz, so why not give monks a flexible Enhanced Ki option?

Currently with the exception of the raid google from the DoJ raid everything that has this bonus is pretty much **** for EE+ content. The outfits that have it are sub-par to the the lv14 White Dragonscale for defense, forget the new 27+ outfits, and the Oremi necklace is garbage with a whopping 6 Con & Enhanced Ki. So, unless you are lucky enough to have the Visions of Precision goggles, you are SoL on having a decent source for Enhanced Ki, and the goggles only apply to three out of thirty levels.

With EE and up difficulty, playing a melee monk pretty much requires you to be in Sun stance to have enough Ki to do more than just use Veil + you Path combos & finisher. If you try to make effective use of the c/c or other abilities from your enhancement trees, while not in Sun stance, you wind up out of Ki and screwed in less than a minute. There is just no balance or comparison between the stances in terms of ki generation.

Mountain is probably the worst ki generation, because if you build your character properly you minimize being hit, and you have to be hit to generate extra ki. A very stupid design that makes that stance especially need a source for Enhanced KI that is not a gimped item in other respects.

This probably does not apply to thrower builds, I don't play them and have no interest in trying them, but they can't use most of the monk enhancements when using shuriken almost 100% of the time to begin with.

    This is a neat idea.

Good idea, but shouldn't enhanced Ki be added to cannith crafting extras as well?

The main problem of DDO is that it basically needs a new basic concept for items. The problem you describe is basically just one effect of the awful Itemization concept in DDO in general.
As you see it right, there only a few Items with the enhanced KI effect, this alone is basically not a problem in my opinion because effects on items and especially useful effects should be not too easy to attain.
But we have a second problem you also describe right, the few items with the enhanced KI effect area outdated with one exception, the enhanced KI effect.
To bring out augments with this effect can be a solution but it doesn't grab the general problem at his roots.
I should not go to write too much here because I made already suggestions that also solve this problem.
Within this thread, I wrote a lot regarding this problem and my plan was to make more suggestions.
But I somehow fear that most players can not even comprehend me.
And not even the developer see what they currently doing simply wrong because they obviously have an insufficient general concept for Items in DDO.

And to get too much off topic again for Enhanced KI.
In my opinion, the effect if self is basically too powerful, if you have only the +1 effect it is already strong enough that you basically never have to worry about your KI use.
And I wonder if the person who introduced a +3 effect even know what he did.
To bring out an Augment you can place on basically every inventory slot is therefore in my opinion even more overpowered.
And therefore I would not do it, besides there is a new general concept that allows a much higher flexibility in general and for all item effects.
