Default Level 30 Legendary Feat Question

Has anyone taken the following feat:

Scion of the Plane of Fire
+25% Spell Critical Damage with all spells
    +10 PRR, +10 MRR
+10 Fire Spell Power, +30 Universal Spell Power
Add 2d20 Fire damage to weapon and unarmed attacks (Scales with Spell Power)

As a paladin, I have maxed Divine Crusader destiny, & when using my thunderforged weapon I have 256 fire spell power (ruby of combustion to maximize Conscration). This feat will give me 40 more fire spell power (10 fire + 30 universal) for a total of 296 fire spell power. At least that is my understanding.

I am thinking that with my setup taking this feat will do much more damage than the Epic Destiny Feats such as Embodiment of Law or Harbinger of Chaos. I could take both the Epic Destiny dps boost & Scion of fire, but I was leaning more towards taking Deific Warding as my Epic Destiny Feat.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

SoPF is awesome, especially for casters as many don't have ways of increasing their critical multiplier. However, I tend to stay away from fire as a source of damage on my melees. It's mute in Lshroud and a lot of other content that I play and I could never justify buffing CG with only 40 more spell power and neglecting melee damage. If I knew more about your build and where you're at I could give you a complete answer, I.E. if you're just a tank standing half the time with shift depressed, maybe I could say it'd be a ok idea, but as a pure paladin vs. a pure fighter using SD as a second tree you may be up 10 PRR/MRR over a fighter without armor feats and maybe some AC. SoEP is typically the highest DPS, however, with paladins being down at least 40 melee power to other classes Arborea may be best to make up for it as you're swinging a weapon for more hits than CG is ticking.

Best suggestion would be to try SoPF and switch it out for something else after a week and see what works better for you.

Fire spell power is good with this feat and consecrated ground you can get 185 fire spell power from slavers and it buffs consecrated ground. You could also mix fire dragon born for a fire themed paladin. Just make sure you have enough hamp to survive in reaper.
