    Default Viable Earth Savant?

    This is my first time posting on the forums, although I've been reading them for quite some time (ever since I started playing DDO).

    I currently have a toon (Shiansu on Thelanis) and wanted to try out an Earth Savant sorcerer. Unfortunately, I've only seen bad things from other posts on the forums and I was wondering if the below build would be viable for running an EPL or two. I tend to mostly run EH level if I'm soloing, but would like to also be able to pull my weight in PUGs where I do EE or lower skull Reaper content.

    The idea behind this build: Web, Hold, or have mobs dancing while covering them in layers of acid storms/cloudkill etc and ice storms (much like a caster druid would stand in their own personal storm). And, since this would be an Enchantment/Conjuration focused build, have DoTs for good boss beating power.

    I only add in the paladin because I'm not planning on buying a +1 Heart.



    Any suggestions and changes would be highly appreciated

    As a side note, I have all Destinies maxed, but I have yet to decide what Destiny I will run in. I would also appreciate any feedback to a suggested destiny.

    #1 drop force of personality - bladeforged comes with some protections from will spells and it isn't a very problematic save the free feat space move everything down which will help with #2

    #2 pick up master of earth at 24, move epic spell penetration to 21

    #3 drop spell focus enchantment for spell focus conjuration - will saves are low compared to fort and reflex, opens up possibility of twisting 5 conjuration DC

    #4 drop extra lay hands enhancements, with 2 paladin levels will not heal for alot

    #5 drop past life wizard for heighten - past life is only 1 dc, heighten is needed for webs, acid spray, acid burst, otto's dancing sphere, holds, etc

    #6 destiny draconic or exalted angel, since your a robot leaning more toward draconic

    OP can't take a metamagic at lvl 1, so I would recommend Adamantine Body instead of FoP. Load up on enough ASF reduction from racial and EK trees.

    Why did you skip tier-5 Earth Savant?

    Probably will not be too bad, just looking at it on paper, but paper and practice are 2 completely separate things.

    Def. pick up Adamantine vs FoP and LoH heals will suck as the above said. Draconic will probably be better, but you should try them both.

    If you have enough Fate pts to twist Acid Energy Burst, then Magister is preferable IMO for Master of Conjuration (+3 CL/MCL, tier-5 so it can't be Twisted). If you don't have enough Fate pts, I would probably stick with Draconic because who wants to play an epic sorc w/out Energy Burst?

    EDIT: just want to practice with the latest builder.

    Turns out I needed an extra racial AP to afford everything I really wanted. Without it I have to drop either the last rank of Arcane Barrier or the fourth Water Savant core.

    I start with Mithral Body so you don't need to invest in as much ASF reduction for heroic leveling. Then when I get to 20, I swap it for Adamantine Body, which is also when you can slot a ML:20 blue augment (-15% ASF).

    Thank you so much for leaving feedback guys

    I intended to take T5 Earth Savant, not sure what happened there...

    I have decided to get on the RTR grind so this build will have to wait a while, at least until I have a few more racial AP so I can mess around more in BF tree and, like you said, be able to take all the useful stuff in Water Savant as well.
