Default Ravenloft Favor Reward- Vampiric Ochre (Weapon enchant similar to festival enchants)

    Vampiric Ochre

Click this in your inventory and a window will pop up, place the weapon you wish to add vampirism to in the slot and click enchant.

This works on all but ranged weapons and weapons that already have vampirism.

I'd tie into this by saying it'd probably be a good idea to gate it through raid drops, or quest chain rewards.

    In addition, I'd say 'vampirism', which is only a 2d2, wouldn't be enough. I'd say 1d2 life steal + 1d2 per 3 levels (up to 18) + 2d2 per 3 levels (21-30).

This'd make it more competitive at higher levels.

To be honest, I wish they'd do that to the festival solar/frost as well, but that's an entirely different thing.

Agreed, but not so much... I'd say it should scale to no greater height then it does in cannith crafting

That would make it dead on arrival in my opinion. I hope that when the wizard pass occurs they really really give us an incentive to run vampire shroud with solid lifestealing built in.

I'd vote for your idea if it includes undead builds similar to the Scion of Shadowfell's coding. Really don't understand why the cannith vampirism wasn't updated to include that line that includes negative energy self healing.

Last I checked, vampirism was updated for such.... could be wrong though.....

Either way, you do know that the highest healing from cannith crafting is 3D2, right? Also it scales with healing amps!
