    Default Destruction Domain - Heroic Build - Seer of Rage

    Seer of Rage

    Flavor build (Heroic)

    Concept:I wanted to use Domain of destruction somehow Barbarian splash...doesnt feel right for me. Only reason i could think for pick destruction is to stack benefits from rage and b able to cast spells....so Half Orc rage racial is my way to go since i preffer to stay pure.

    In fact i tried Cleric/Barbarian:

    Few Notes:

    I- Every cleric level i got made me feel losing some important things in melee (heal amps , Damage cores etc)
    II- Every barbarian level reduced my ability to cast... and this somehow didnt feel alright
    III- Half orc rage isnt as good as barbarian one but it spice the things (+5 ST +40 Melee power)




    Race:Half-Orc
    Class: Cleric 20

    Weapon: Warhammer (Better Multiplier - Deity Onatar) or Longsword (Better Crit threat - Deity Sovereign Host)

    [Racial] - 18 pts
    Cores: Orcish Fury I,II and III / Orcish Strenght I and II
    T1: Orcish Weapon Training I
    T2: Lock bash,Orcish Weapon Training II , Orcish Rage
    T3:Orcish Weapon Training III
    T4:Raging Crush , Power Rage 3

    [Warpriest] - 40 pts
    Cores: Smite Foe , Resillience of Battle , Sanctuary , Blur , Haste
    T1: Toughness 3, Righteous Weapons I , Sacred Touch 3 , Divine Might 3
    T2: Wall of Steel 3 , Righteous Weapons II, Smite Weakness
    T3:Righteous Weapons III, Strenght
    T4:Ameliorating Strike, Righteous Weapons IV, Strenght
    T5: Divine Power , Divine Vessel , Magic Backlash 3,Righteous Weapons V

    [Radiant Servant] 22 pts
    Core: Healing Domain, Pacifism , Positive Energy Burst
    T1:Extra Turning 3 , Bliss 3 , Altruism 1
    T2:Efficient Empower Healing 3, Improved Turning 1
    T3:Intense Healing 2 , Charisma
    T4: Endless Turning


    [Stats] 28pts ( Stats > 28 put some more CHA for better Divine Might)

    ST 17
    DEX 8
    CON 16
    WIS 13
    INT 10
    CHA 6


    [Skills]

    Heal , Concentration and Intimidate (for lockbash)

    [Feats]

    1-Shield Mastery
    3-Power Attack
    6-Cleave
    9-Great Cleave
    12-Improved Shield Mastery
    15- Empower Healing Spell
    18-Improved Critical Slashing or Bludgeoning

    Final Words:

    -This build is able to Heal/Support (not main Heal)

    -Turn Undead + Bliss has a Buff Role for the group

    -To Achieve better heal procs from Ameliorating strike, stack doublestrike - (Shield Masteries +Domain Bonus = 11% Doublestrike)

    -Brutality has a nice sinergy with Magic Backlash (if u plan to go 2H)

    -Smite Weakness + Improved Destruction (domain) has nice effect as a mob weekening





    Any thoughts??? Suggestions????

    My view is Destruction domain's only real upside is the whole "can cast spells while Raged" ability, as its inherent feats are pretty weaksauce, frankly. War domain is unquestionably better if you're playing a pure or mostly-pure battlecleric, IMO, unless maybe you're planning ahead for a Blood of Vol / Vistani Knife Fighter build (in which case Holy Sword won't stack with Vistani crit bonuses).

    So my idea was HO cleric 14 / barb 6 using 2H weapons. Focus is on melee with major self-healing / buffage. Will it work? Sure. Is it a good build? ...enh.

    I totally agree war domain is by far the way to go domain for melee , this destruction domain should have some synnergy with Rage or even giving a cleric rage version would b more interesting...still i like to do some different stuff

    and 3% doublestrike is a joke...should b more like 8%

    Yeah your build was my start point... u deserve some credit on this one, since i ve tried urs first...it just dont seemed my playstyle...somehow i feel barbarian suffer a lot with splash

    Oh, there's no question pure barb's the way to go if you want to focus on DPS. Giving up Death Frenzy + Storms Eye is a pretty significant hit, IMO. The idea was more about finding an interesting way to apply Destruction to a battlecleric, not any expectation of being "better."

    But in all seriousness I think what we've learned here is that Destruction is not that good of a domain.

    Yeah; I took destruction and I'm yet to be impressed by it. Seems to me that Animal is better at doing pretty much everything destruction does except buff melee/ranged damage from party members (and that's fairly minor).

    But I'll continue leveling destruction domain to see if my opinion changes once I have +10 or more melee power from it.

    Yeah i did lesser reincanation and changed the domain to animal...i wont lie i dont regret it... this domain isnt fully funcional lacks some things to make it work... they might change it...in the future (maybe if cast any spell arcane or divine allowed we could pick in some builds)



    Changing to Animal domain

    -Got almost double HP
    -At lvl 9 got the similar effect compared to destruction lvl 14
    -Better Reflex saves
    -Changed some racials APs (no more rage) instead got raging crush which sinnergize well
    -Feral Charge (dont have to say anything.... right?)
    -Changed deity to Onatar since i got crit every 30s for sure with raging crush (critical multiplier works better that way)

    Sorry about this build it was failure...next time i make 1 i ll do with screenshots and when fully checked

    Maybe this could b viable using Vistanni when it comes live
