Sorry, that couldn't make it into the hotfix. When we have an ETA we'll let people know. Hopefully soon.

Slayer boost potions works in quests, this is a bug or should this work???

Huh. Not my favorite quests but a large part of that is because I find them impossible to complete without evasion. I might give them another go now, thanks.

I agree.

While I'm not salty about my ~5 deaths to mimics, they were all on bank mules that had lousy gear and poor builds (Example: I was told when I started playing that a "Haggle bot" was a thing to have to make more money selling things. So I have a L4 bard with max CHA and no spells that take advantage of the CHA DC boost, max Haggle, skill focus Haggle, gear with +CHA and + Haggle, etc. And I very quickly got bored with swapping items in the shared bank for it to sell and just used it as a mule. :-P Mimics are mean to this turd). But I sympathize with players who are playing their mains, running elite or reaper, and get ganked by what should be a fun and funny surprise monster, not a chest shaped death machine.

Extending the event by the week it took to fix this acknowledged issue would at least allow players who aren't farming but just playing normally to get some benefit from the event.

And wow, just read the release notes. That's a significant reduction in mimic fest mimics.

Uhm, is anyone else getting this - "Cannot patch Turbinelauncher.exe, error 5: access is denied" ? First time in 7 years of playing.


Edit - Solution found for if anyone gets the same issue I noticed that MBAM had had an update today so I temp closed it and the launcher did it's thing without any problems. Obviously something clashing but all good now.

To my knowledge that was never stated. We didn't touch the barter costs. Maybe you saw the 20% health reduction and crossed some signals?

"could not patch file "dndclient.exe", error 5:Access is denied"

And it continues to try and patch when I click the X to get out, or hit the OK. Have to manually hit the X on DDO launcher to get out of a continuous looping patch/error.

Not at the moment, still trying a few things. I know at least it is not MBAM for me, as I don't use that.

Will update if I find the culprit, or find someone else that did.


I got tired of pulling files, and replacing them. So, I finally just killed/uninstalled the whole thing and reloaded it all. No problems now. There's a self patch (which was part of the error I was getting.) Didn't try to pull that.

Side note, I still have a Turbine file, but there are only 3 items in it now, the re-download created a SSG folder with everything in it instead. So guessing I would have eventually had to do it anyway.

Since I used the Heart of Wood to take War Domain and it's not working properly, is there some sort of a workaround? I find myself stuck without most of my weapons.
