Default Druid and wolf companion level?

    Hi.

I'm, as always in this game, looking for some new build I haven't tried before, since the options are endless. So now I look at druid.

    1. What level is the wolf companion? Is it the same as your character level, or only your druid level? I'm asking if the pet becomes useless, when splashing.

    2. If splashing some fighter levels in to the mix for kensei (and ofc feats), will the kensei focus bonuses apply when in wolf form?

    Cheers.

The wolf's level is the same as your druid levels.

The critical threat and multiplier bonuses do not apply in animal form. Melee power bonuses do apply.

"druid levels + epic levels" seems to be how your wolf's level is determined. Note that this also applies to ML pre-reqs of gear you try to equip on your wolf.

As Krelar said, the crit bonuses do not, unfortunately; the Melee Power, Crit Mastery, and doublestrike bonuses (from the cores) work. I think the static dmg bonuses from Weapon Specialization / Master line do as well, if you take Martial Arts or Druidic Weapons focus, but it's kind of a PITA to verify that.
