    Question Purge Dark Magics?!??

Can anybody explain to me which effects "Purge Dark Magics" actually removes?
Seeing as the pre-req.: "Divine Cleansing" already "Removes all Blindness, Curse, Disease, Paralysis, Petrification and Poison effects." (According to the Wiki).

What is the benefit of "Purge Dark Magics"? (Well except you get to spend 3x2 ap for it.......)

    Thank you in advance

I think it removes Symbol of Pain. I only ever took it once, and decided it wasn't worth it.

Never tested it, but I would assume that it would also cure anything that Heal can (Confused, Dazed, Dazzled, Deafened, Exhausted, Fatigued, Feebleminded, Insanity, Nauseated, Stunned).

...but that the main purpose would be getting rid of DoTs and other less typical debuffs/conditions.

Benefit? It exists to burn your APs. Veeery valuable.

I tested it and it removes things that you can already remove with restoration, heal, etc ... plus Crushing Despair and maybe Symbol of Pain.

It does not remove really nasty things like spell words traps effects, champions debuffs and DoT and ...

Its worthless. Removes things that anyone can remove with pots and scrolls or is only mildly annoying and rare.

If it was able to remove these effects, then its effect would be semi-unique, as nothing else can remove the Symbol of Pain effect, and only Good Hope can banish the effect of Crushing Despair. But still between 2 and 6 ap for this ?!!?!? Nah, too expensive as it is now - Yes I know you get to use your turn attempts instead of sp/scrolls/pots/etc. But still too expensive I agree.

Now if this ability was usable while helpless, then it would be a whole other ball game.

    Thank you for your answers.

If it worked on the weird boss abilities in certain raids, then it would have an awesome place in the repertoire, but a guild-mate of mine confirmed that it doesn't, for instance, purge the dark magic of the Abbot's Encasement, the Lord of Blades Touch of the Mournlands, et cetera.
