Losing connection?

So, I just downloaded this game and I'm trying to create my character. But I can only ever get as far as picking out feats before the game automatically closes saying something about a lost connection to the server.

I don't know why, but it's done this a minimum of 3 times.

Any ideas of what's going on?

That's an unusual place for a connection drop to occur, particularly so repeatably.

There's a couple things you can try to isolate the problem:
- In the Launcher, click the options button in the upper right corner and select "repair" (do this when you can walk away and let it churn)
- Choose a path and let the client build the character for you - pick whatever default appearance the character has. Interact as little
as possible with the creation, just see if you can get through it.
