War Domain not giving prof for all weapons.

Thought I would give the War Domain a try since I wanted to make use of all those khopeshes I've been gathering over the years. Even have several ghostbane ones. Sadly I keep getting the message I am not proficient with my equipment for the non-basic cleric weapons I try to use. It was my understanding that at level 5, War Domain Clerics gain proficiency with ALL martial and exotic weapons. I did try to relog my toon more than once, also to no effect. Sword and board with crafted khopesh and mithral shield may not be efficient, but it is fun.

I always assume a few things will be a bit wonky after a large change like this patch was and am not worried. I have other toons to play for now. Sat on that cleric for 3 months waiting for this patch just so I could play with the new domains. I'll go TR my Warlock, or my Ranger, or my other Ranger, or my other-other Ranger. (pew-pew-pew)

This seems to be a recurring thing. The "This Cleric Domain ability doesn't work/doesn't work properly" bit. The update did drop today or yesterday, so expect a hotfix within the next 24 hours.

Yes, this is a bug. War Domain does not appear to be granting Exotic Weapon proficiency. We will be working to correct this.

Good Morning. Sorry for the delay. I created a new morninglord and rested this. All the appropriate martial weapons are coming up as non-proficient until I actually equip them. Then they still display the error, but appear to be working correctly.



Exotics look to be totally borken.

Is there any estimate for when this might get fixed? (I am trying to decide what to do with the fighter/cleric I re-rolled using the heart of wood - re-roll him again, or park him and wait for the fix?)

QA is telling me that War Domain is actually granting Martial Proficiency, but it's not displaying properly on icons, so they still look non-proficient but do grant proficiency when equipped. Exotic is not being granted, however.

I'd even settle for the Kensei enhancement would allow adding bastard swords. Even with that enhancement selected, I cannot use bastards proficiently. Is the enhancement not working or do I need to report a bug?

The kensei enhancement doesn't and is not supposed to grant proficiency. All it does is allow you to treat exotic weapons as focus weapons so you get all the kensei bonuses while using them. (Essentially it is an extra AP tax for people that want to use exotic weapons with kensei.)

You're right it's: weapon mastery. For some reason mt ability to use bastard swords still seems to be hampered, since I chose War Domain. Thanks for your help.

I put on me glasses and i can hit the same as i was with a longsword (Prudent 2 Goggles of accuracy 4).

Also using cleric spells to increase attack so the feat isnt really needed IMO.
