In 2017 we are on to Version 4 !
We are TR'ing our characters from Version 3. Third lives for everyone.
This will keep us on a slow progression and in the lower levels we enjoy.
RULES
No Twinking. That means no platinum or items from other characters. Since we TR'd you will have all your platinum, please move it to your shared bank or give it away. This game is very easy now and can be insanely easy if you twink out your lowbies.
Doing everything on Elite or Reaper. At some point we might start failing quests on elite but we want to challenge ourselves for as long as possible.
Share loot among the party. Essential in a non-twink enviroment. If the wizard pulls the longsword please give to the melees!
No Auction House with the exception of buying a portable hole.
Portable hole anytime because inventory management is not fun so anything that makes that easier is ok.
Maybe at high levels we will change the AH rule if we have had bad loot luck.
Brokers - ok anytime.
DDO Store. Bags, quivers, hirelings, and tomes are ok. Basically the bags etc make life easier. Tomes can be up for discussion but we felt the extra skill points might help someone make the build they always wanted and if we all do it it will be equal. Plus, who can resist tomes.
XP pots and loot pots are up to you but the idea is to all level together. So xp pots are a good way to catch up on XP if you miss a week but should not really be used all the time.
We only use these characters together, once a week about 2- 3 hours each time. March 2007 to March 2011 to cap Version 1. March 2011 to July 14 to get to level 23 for Version 2. July 2014 to August 2017 to get back to Epic. This is very important as we want to remain the same level as we go.
After TR'ing you can skip the snowy Korthos story line. We can still do Korthos, you just won't be stuck on the island. (You might want to do the mini quest with Jeets and get your ember weapon, you can then skip by talking to Valeria Sinderwind at the Korthos docks.).
Feel free to do the solo quests in the harbor. You can earn a little gold and get some equipment.
Arachnophobia
An Explosive Situation
The Miller's Debt
Home Sweet Sewer
Afterwards go back to Korthos and we will meet in the Wavecrest Tavern.
