Can someone test a reincarnation item loss bug theory?

I've done literally dozens of reincarnations where I'm overburdened like crazy, and I've never lost items.

Any hypotheses are wild guesses. There's little information on what items are being lost and under what circumstances.

I've only ever lost one item in all of my reincarnations (close to 200 at this point)... and honestly I can probably attribute that to not being careful enough when selling items before my TR (sucks as it was a fully upgraded Cleaver). I can't be sure, because if I caught my mistake, I would have been able to fix it right then and there with buyback - and therein lies the crux of the problem: we're human and make mistakes we don't always notice. There has never been anyone that has provided any proof (at least that I've seen) over almost a decade of the Reincarnation system that has shown there are any actual issues with TRing causing items to disappear that could not have just been a mistake on their own side.

The thing is, when you TR, you have a hard cap on how many items it is possible to have: 16 inventory + 4 skin + 160 inventory (8*20) + 100 bank (5*20) = 280. As long as the system can handle that quantity, doesn't matter what it is. The inventory system also doesn't care about weight - the overloaded calculation is it's own thing, and whether you're 1lb overloaded, or 10,000 lbs overloaded it doesn't change as it an open-ended check at that point.

If you log in fast enough, which is impossible for almost everyone, I have seen, as stated above, items in inventory. But I am not sure, but I coulda swore, that one time I saw my items being removed from their slots on my paperdoll and placed into inventory. IDK, this doesnt add much, sorry.
