Don't panic! Clerics and Favored Souls will be nerfed soon. Followed by a nerf for ranged toons.
(Combat): You were killed by something.
These changes I like are very interested especially for the bonus cabio from Strenght or Winsdom that are useful for build based on these 2 stat which is good because I sucked a build where WIS is predominant and this change is good...
What does not work and that the 2nd cabling you should get at level 6 of the FvS gets instead on 9-10 in fact ......
I thought it was not already reported but when I re-read the notes of the pathc I was calmed up ... I hope you solve it.although the first problem I do not think we have seen is that the first level 2 bonus I have succeeded has taken it, the real problem and the 2nd level 6 bonus that does not make it correct at that level but at 9-10.
i guess I set this one one out I have reinstalled the preview launcher twice and still I log in hit play and it doesn't launch into the game. I sure do not hope I have this problem when you go live. because this is the only game I happen to like. But it is what it is these days and I find that maybe I am getting old an can't keep up I don't know anymore

Temporarily disabled antivirus shutoff firewall but did check to see if ddo was on the exemption list and it was in both cases. It just does not launch. I only hope I do not have this problem when it goes live. I will sit this round out and wait for u37 and hope to get in on that on and ravenloft see y'all later
I can log in, but the loading screen just stays at 'Clearing'.. and won't go any further. Did not have any problems yesterday.

Two questions about the new Mimic Festival just for a change of pace...
Will the Malachite Mimics be coming back in the loot tables? I managed to gift Mundane Mimics to my entire Guild trying to get one and this along with the new cosmetic pets would be the main draw for me to run this event.
Will this be a new seasonal event and what time of year can we expect it to happen once it goes live?
That is exactly how I feel this update is going to take clerics or anyone with cleric lvs. What they should be doing instead of domains is increasing the amount of light, force and (to a lesser extent) negative spell power clerics can get (enhancements, items, etc) at the cost of cooldowns for non-healing offensive spells and/or healing and/or self-healing potential. Giving clerics and/or fvs a new spell or SLA that basically functions like a holy fireball or cometfall that heals and/or shields allies at the same time that it damages enemies within the blast would likely also help combat the idleness that makes being a healbot so undesirable to many players.
The real reason that many people don't play cleric or fvs anymore is because they don't want and/or like the job of being a healbot. While domains themselves will help increase the amount of clerics (likely to the point of over-saturation), many of those that do make new clerics because of domains will almost certainly ignore others health unless actually asked for a heal when they're out of combat, which would then lead to increased hate toward clerics because so many people that are playing clerics like a dps caster instead of doing the job clerics are primarily designed to do, which is heal.
Summary: While domains would help generate more clerics and increase their viability, they are a poor choice for that compared to the other options available for making them more appetizing to make/play.
That said, choosing to be and stay as a healer takes both a certain kind of person and mindset that is more indifferent to how they support their group or team than many/most people are as long as their efforts are both worthwhile and not wasted with the alternate form of support. Someone without that specific type of person/mindset is going to be
A) far less likely and more reluctant to play a healer
as well as
B) unhappy
C) less forgiving to their group or team's failures
D) have a shorter fuse (read: become more of a salt magnet)
E) more likely to be a poor healer (because they could be new to it and thus would mean they may have their priorities confused)
if they do play a healer.
This kind of fuzzy, imprecise writing is unfortunately the SOP. And moving from Turbine to SSG did nothing to improve on the status quo.
Saying that something is a SLA but not listing either the cost or the cool-down (with the sole exception of the Earthquake SLA cool-down) makes the term SLA meaningless except for "metamagics are included without cost." Any given SLA could cost 200 mana and have a cool-down of 5 minutes, but they rely on the players to make the assumption that if it's an SLA that it'll be cheap cheap to cast and have a workable cool-down. Or they rely on simply not providing the information until things hit live so they can then say something like "We received no feedback that this was an issue. It's too late to make a change now the new shiny has our undivided attention. Here, allow us to share some meaningless details about the new shiny!"
Special thanks for making Qstaffs more durable, even the heroic druids will thank you for this one.
I would think epic levels are ignored in-terms of counting for at least half your levels of FvS.
I would think a PDK 14 FvS 6 Ftr Silvanus Maul build could be fairly strong. Possible using charisma for Soundburst and Command as cc with a small reduction on dc's and swap to Greatsword for Dire Charge in Divine Crusader. Other options are wisdom 6 monk Henshin stick build will any Eberron race or Silvr Flame elf arcane archer with 6 monk for 10k.
