    Default The Sauron build

    have you ever thought it would be cool to be Sauron?
    wearing plate armors, immortal, holding huge two handed weapons, all that living wither when you pass near, cleaving your foes, and then just point your finger on them and they die?

    well, you came to the right place

    the philosophy of this build is to be pale master with high int, high spell penetration, high necromancy and enchantment. so when you are in group your enchant DC will hold up to group expectations and your insta kills will not fail.
    and have enough melee power to kill bosses and not be useless when you are out of spell points or solo.

    disclaimer: right now on my "real build" i don't have the harper tree yet, so i don't have access to strategic combat and yet my melee damage is nice when i use appropriate weapons (admantite, light effect, slashing effect, deadly, etc)
    if this build was already posted, i apologize but i haven't found it in my search.
    I never use tensers transformation, but i do have some "divine power" clickies.

    pros:
    proper necro and enchant DC, self healing, OK melee damage, all the self buffs and CC suport that melee want but don't have, single stat build (int), able to fight beholders.

    cons:
    no SLAs, not the top evocation damage due to lack of meta-magics.

    requirements:
    second life. (extra build points)
    drow 30 points (higher starting int and arcane fluidity)
    harper tree.
    strength +2 tome. of course any other tome is good.

    regular feats (7):insightfull reflex, spell penetration, greater spell penetration, greater spell focus necro, power attack (need str 13 hence the tome), cleave, imp critical (need bab 8 so only at level 18)

    if the past life is wizard, then take wizard past life at level 3, push everything up, and don't take greater spell focus necro. ( take it on epic levels)

    the enhancements priority:
    max out necro tree first, around level 12 you can get necromantic focus and improved shrouding which is what you are aiming for.
    then get martial training and light armor in the eldrich tree
    then get the harper tree for strategic combat 1+2.
    after that, continue filling the trees, get arcane fluidity just before you get medium armor prof.

    this build, can wear all light and medium armors, which also means mithril plates like cavalry plate etc. (25% arcane failure reduction)
    with plate armor, concealment and death aura heals, this is a very survivable build.
    at low levels before you reach martial training, just use masters touch spell.
    the harper tree is important due to strategic combat 1+2, the int bonus to hit and damage is very very good on this build.

    spells:
    regular spell list for pale master, blur/displacement helps a lot.

    strategy:
    death aura always on, disco ball+ acid fog, and cleave + eldrich strike everything inside while your instakills on CD. your skeletal pet runing around finishing stuff.
