18/2 TA/Barb Half-Orc...Just brain storming

Was thinking of a Half Orc TA with two levels of Barb. Points in Ravager Tree for barbarian Power Attack and heavy into Racial tree for all the two hand goodies there. Anyone have a build like this they can give some insight on? Thanks in advance!

You cannot search/disarm traps while raged

If you don't go pure, i think 2 levels of monks will give more than 2 level of Barb (10 melee power from henshin core for 1 AP and 2 feats)

I also have looked at HalfOrc racial AP. It sounds cool for 2-handers, but is is very expensive

I have no desire to use the Barb rage. Its there for the run speed, the extra power attack, and "I like pain" the 150 temp hp proc.

The whole point of the build would be to use quarterstaves.

The vast majority of the points would be used in TA, with 19 in Half-orc and a few in Ravager for the above listed enhancements. I've already decided I'm going to try this build. I think it sounds like a lot of fun! I was just wondering if anyone else had tried something like this: a dexterity based half-orc using thief acrobat and all the juicy two-hander options in the half-orc racial tree.

Is this only for heroics or are you planning to continue to 30?
If heroics only, you can probably dip more - you won't be using the lvl 18 rogue cores anyway.

Heroics only. I actually thought about adding 4 fighter so I could play with Whirlwind. Ive never been able to fit that into a build due to all the prereq's.

Either that, or something that would bring some self healing to the mix. I'm leaning toward the heals, right now.

He might have a bunch of racial enh points to soften the blow.

OP, have you considered cleave since you're taking power attack?
With 3 levels of barb you'll open up sprintboost and supreme cleave.
This would add heal amp and hp too.
3 cleaves makes short work of packs of mobs

Have you considered orcish rage? 40 melee power is nice vs bosses, champs and reapers

Ps bring spare quarter staffs, they break fast.

All good stuff to consider! I am trying to stay away from the barb ragey stuff and may actually drop down to one Barb level for the movement speed and access to the Barbarian power attack. That may allow me to fit in some healing class levels. I am playing with the builder right now and trying to make it all fit. I love the idea of a Half Orc Rogue with 3 power attacks and a bunch of extra damage to staves. Cleave and Great Cleave will absolutely be part of the build.

Now back to the builder! I really want to get the life I'm on over with and start again on this one! haha

remember 1 clr,fvs and bard lvl allows you to use wands without UMD check, add wand/scroll mastery and some heal amp for a nice backup (at lvl 7 toon you can use wand of critical wounds with 1 lvl of these classes w/o umd check)
