    Default Scaling with warlocks

How does scaling a dungeon higher when a warlock is in the party, how does that balance ... my character. Does that just balance the dm and the warlock, that being the only balance which the designers care about ??? And, my character dies more frequently because there is a warlock in my party. Do you really think I enjoy that ??

I think it's largely in your head.

The scaling exists, and I believe you imagine it, but it's so small that I sincerely doubt that you actually can measure it from casual observation.

mobs stats (the easiest one to see is hp) increases when players step in a dungeon, depending the class that amount increases more

want to see an easy example (which you may have seen before), when doing devil assault, the door closes so players that join can't help in the quest itself

what's commonly done in that case? players join in the party but don't step in the quest, because the scaling, once the player that is inside killing all the stuff, has killef everything but last boss, he tells others to step in, in that moment the hp of that boss can go from 3000/35000 to 23000/53000

is that fair? dunno, it has been there for long long long ago, blaming warlocks cause they scale more than other classes is meaningless, given the small amount of the scaling... more players will make quests easier in most cases (being one of the exceptions devil assault as you can see) the differencr is compared to joining a cleric, mobs will scale a bit more if a warlock joins
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

most opinions are that it is only noticable when solo, very minor when in a party. Here-say though, I haven't been on a warlock since the change.

    Excellent observation!

K, so if someone (like the OP?) wants to make their point, we need some numbers. How much does Warlock scale those numbers vs., say, a Sorci or Wizard? That would be a better starting point for a real discussion than "I say warlocks get me killed".

    On your own:
Use a Twisted Talisman with a Warlock in a dungeon on Normal, Hard, Elite and R1.

Next use a Twisted Talisman with a Bard as above.

    With friends:
    Repeat both above tests.

Come back and tell us how much damage you took for each of your tests.

Then we can work out the influence having a Warlock has on a group.

My bet is the difference between Warlock and Bard across each of the difficulties and with the group is no more than 1 or 2 HP damage.
