I am getting the same error, but its now Friday morning.

I'm on windows 7 and did not make any changes since my last login before the patch. My computer has not even been on. I just started it up to try to download U36.

There's another patch this morning (Friday) to fix two-handed weapon animations/attacks.
Try again around noon EST.
