    Default Melee-Ock

Note: This is a mistake, A regular warlock build it way better.

A melee Warlock just in time for the Nerfs. Because I support bad builds. Even some good builds? Which one is this? You can decide.

I think your experience of the build is going to depend on whether you have played a pure Warlock before or not.

If you have it will seem underpowered on offense. If you have not it will seem really strong on defense. Brilliance and the extra PRR/MRR from EA are a nice package to prevent sudden overruns in a crowd. The BAB difference between a pure melee/pure ES Warlock and your split will be minor, just -3 so no big deal. The HP will be a wash with Tenacious Defense III giving you the same 20% boost that Ultimate Enlightenment gives a pure ES Warlock.

I ran a Paladin with Warlock splash (for EA and Brilliance) for awhile, both S&B and 2H and I found the offense to be a bit lacking. I was running a PDK for CHA to hit and damage and both were acceptable but nothing special. The defenses were really good though between high CHA and CON and Pally saves. I went for the KoTC Cleaves however and with only 5 Warlock levels the aura didn't hit for much. I'd say you were going to have a better result with 12 Warlock levels however I think it's going to be a small difference after the nerfs. I had 3d6 plus 3d6 from Spiritual Retribution and you'll have 4d6 plus 3d4 from 12 levels of Warlock. On the pact side I only had 2d4 damage but a very high CHA to make the DC. You'll have 6d4 but lots of mobs will make the Reflex save for half or no damage. I might go Great Old One instead of Fey for the +5MM and +25% Fortification and Will saves instead of Reflex. However with a lower CHA that might just be a waste since mobs may well make the saves against pact damage anyway.

Remember that "Pact damage" is only part of the damage done. They're still taking full Blast damage, for which there is no save.

    Blast damage at L12 is now 4D6. This build previously could've used Spirit Blast (instead of a cleave) for 10D6 + 3D6 + 6D6 + 6D4.
    This is now 4D6 + 3D4 + 4D6 + 6D4. A 38% damage reduction - all other things being equal.
