Attack Bonus

HI there,

I have a question. I am trying to figure out what gear to equip. My toon is a monk. Right now, I have Epic Barbette's bracers with an attack bonus of 10 and a dex ring that provides 14 dex. I am currently farming for Bracers of the Hidden Blade and the Ring of Prowess.

So, here is my question, what exactly does the Attack Bonus do? will I be missing anything special if I make the switch above? I know the Barbette bracers have greater heroism as well, but the Bracers of the Hidden Blade and the Ring of Prowess combo seems like I may get more bang for my buck.

Attack bonus from Barbette's bracers is a competence bonus to your attack rolls, which I believe means to-hit bonus.

It is the same bonus as the one you get from Accuracy effect on random loot/cannith crafting items so they do not stack.

And this +10 bonus from Epic Barbette's bracers is very low for level 28 (which means the item is outdated) since you can get +10 attack roll bonus on a ML 12 (!!!) cannith crafted/random loot item with Accuracy effect and +20 on ML 28 crafted/random item.

So you can switch to another item safely, but be sure to have an item with Accuracy effect in your gearset.
