Angel of Fire? (FS/Sorc)

I was running a Fire Savant in a PUG (or trying to, ahem - 1st life and in R2, not great DPS for the environment), and someone mentioned a "Fire Angel" build, from "a while ago". Their memory was vague, weren't sure if it was even still viable, maybe too many changes. Might not even be the correct name for the build, for all I know. All they remembered was that it was a Favored Soul/Sorcerer mix, and dovetailed the Fire enhancements from both, and was a top fire build in its day.

Anyone have a link, or point me in a general direction? Or is it another in the "yeah, doesn't work any more" category?

If your really going all in for a fire build...there is some synergy with FVS and Sorc.

Take 4 levels of FVS so you can get tier 4 of AOV ehnancements. Take the remaining 16 levels as sorc.

As an added bonus, go half elf with the Warlock Dillitante (1d4 fire damage per level scaling with 100 spell power and scales with Metamagic).

With all this being said. Fire damage is pretty good in most content...with the big exception of the Vale and Shavrath stuff. Devils and Demons are immune to fire damage. And there are quite a few of those type of mobs out there, so you will need to choose your secondary element carefully.

Thanks - that's pretty much what I'd surmised at first glance. Losing Core 18 & capstone is painful*, so I wasn't sure if this was a net gain or no.

(* +2 Charisma, +30 Fire spellpower, +2 Caster levels w/ Fire spells, etc.)

But "Fire Angle/Angel of Fire" build is ringing no bells with anyone, huh?

Yeah, true that. Esp since without Vale, heroic end-game becomes a lot thinner.

Since Fire effectively precludes Water savant, that leaves Acid or Electric. Acid tends to not be Evocation, so... :/
