Character is Already in World

Hi there, can anybody please help me? I just did an ETR on my main toon Nicodeamous, and when I went to enter the world, it froze. I exited out, and now when I try to login, it says I "Character is already in world". This has happened to me before on an earlier ETR, so this is extremely frustrating. my toon is on Khyber, and my Login is Nickodeamous (toon is Nicodeamous, so slightly different). Can you please help me! It;s fathers day, and my wife gave me all day to play, and now I can't!!!!

Try logging on to a different character then logging on to the one you want to play. I can't remember what problem this fixes but it is worth a shot.

I had this a while back, I logged onto another character then opened a ticket the GM tried a couple of things which didn`t work unfortunately, he then got me to email technical support( I think) and they fixed the problem and got so I could log in with the effected character. I logged in with my character to find all my epic destinies had been reset to zero I contacted a GM via a ticket and he managed to sort out my epic destinies problem ,took a few days to sort but they got there in the end. This was under Turbine so things may be a little different under SSG. I wouldn`t bank on it being an instant fix unless the GM`s can fix especially on a weekend.

So, this is exactly what happened! I now have 6M karma in all of my destinies ( except the one that I used for ETR), but there is no XP...so strange, but this has happened before, so I know they can fix it. In game support actually unlocked me last night shortly before 1 AM EST.

Still no answers yet! I really wish you would at least get an acknowledgement or something that tells you when the estimated resolution time would be.

yes, in-game support can fix you up.

Problem is uncommon but has been around for a few years.

This type of lockup during Reincarnation is also sometimes linked to other problems like losing past lives, losing tomes, losing destines, losing TR cache items...
check your Tomes under the Feats _ Special Feats.




There seems to be a higher risk of TR crash when the client is not relogged before/after TR activities
Swapping alts to move stuff around before doing a TR = Relog
level up and ready to TR = Relog.
Finished Epic TR and ready to Heroic TR = Relog.
Finished regular TR and ready to start questing after Korthos starter.. = relog. (this is more of a cant get into quests because a player does not meet the requirements error I tended to see).

Consider also..
Screen captures of your character's lives, gear, anything that supports your claim in the event of an issue.

..although we haven't got our lost items resolved with SSG.. yet.. we are waiting for them to investigate and fix .. maybe when they are not too 'busy' and have spare time to respond to players.

Thanks! I have had this happen twice now. I'll keep in mind all of the tips for reincarnation, so this doesn't happen again (hopefully). lol. anyway, they responded when I was not online, so I'll have to keep logged in for now.

Where you able to log in? If so, did you lose your gear?

No gear lost, but epic destinies were screwed up. this took and in game DM to fix, but all is well.
