    Nice planner.

    In case you don't already know though, the monk feats Adept of Forms, Master of Forms, and Grandmaster of Forms can't be slotted as Standard Feats (for example, by a character with just one monk level who wants to choose them as standard feats as opposed to a character with 20 monk levels who would get them auto-granted).

    I double checked these against the wiki. I have them setup as follows:

    Adept of forms: Granted for monk level 6 ***********This should be set to train if you have at least 1 monk level and 6 character levels.
    Master of forms: Granted for monk level 12, trainable by character with 1 monk level and at least 12 levels.
    Grandmaster of forms: Granted at monk level 18, trainable by character with 1 monk level and at least 18 levels.

    I will get this corrected in the next release.

    Been a couple of weeks since my last release. Not had much chance to work on gear, which is the biggest outstanding area. But I did manage to get this lot done:


    Feats: Adept of Forms can now be trained if you are level 6 and have 1 Monk level
    Feat: Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Shuriken is no longer free to level 1 fighters
    Enhancements: Aasimar/Scourge Healing amplification enhancements now correctly cost 2ap instead of 1
    Engine: Requires None/One of can now have an override display description
    Enhancements: Efficient Metamatic requires "None of" entries updated for all trees
    Arcanotechnician: Efficient Quicken now requires the Quicken Feat
    Arcanotechnician: Efficient Heighten "None of" requirements now on correct enhancement, not Blast Rod
    Divine Disciple: Efficient metemagics now cost 2ap instead of 1 per tier
    Season's Herald: Efficient Maximize now requires the correct feat (Not "Maximizer")
    Enhancements: Wand and scroll mastery is mutually exclusive across all trees
    Battle Engineer: "Thunder shock" now correctly requires "Shatter Defences" not "Unknown Enhancement"
    Battle Engineer: "Tactical Mobility" no longer requires 2 "Unknown Enhancements" to train
    Ninja Spy: Ninjutsu tiers are now labelled I, II, III, IV etc

    Breakdowns: Items which have stack numbers based on class levels will now have the correct number on enhancement selection and load.
    Item Select Dialog: Items now start sorted by level descending by default
    Feat: "Improved Fortification" feat effects added
    Feat: "Improved Uncanny Dodge" feat effects added
    Feat: "Indomitable Will" now correctly gives +4 to Enchantment saves instead of +1 when raged
    Feat: Paladin "Lay on Hands" will now show up as an SLA

    My main aim for the next release is to get Randomly Generated gear into the planner, I have already collected a list of effects versus slots, just need to implement them as augments. This will also clean up the way Cannith crafted items work to allow all possible values for buffs to be used (Cannith currently only supports final level 30 gear buffs). As the user will enter the actual value via the item select dialog. I am mainly going this route because its almost impossible to find definitions of what the buff values for effects should be, so its much easier and more versatile if I just the let the user enter the value thats required.

    Just been doing some general testing of things while reading through almost the entire thread for Rons Character Planner V4, as any errors reported there in things like enhancements etc could in theory be present in mine also,
    And I have noticed the following: All enhancements which give a set amount per AP spent are currently broken for all trees. This will be a problem in the C++ code so its the first thing I will look into for the next release ahead of the random loot upgrade. Not sure at what point I introduced this problem.

    Lots of changes in this version:

    Fix: Amount per AP effects now work again.
    Items: Random Loot Items (Not weapons or Armor) are now supported.
    Augments: Many non named standard augments now no longer have fixed bonus values.
    ---These values can be entered in the interface to set the actual value.
    ---Allows most flexibility of the system with me not having to find out what true values are supported.
    Engine: New weapon classes "Martial" and "Simple" added.
    Feat: "Improved Uncanny Dodge" reflex save bonus now works correctly.
    Breakdowns: BAB breakdown added (can be affected by enhancements).
    ---Note that the BAB total drops fractions, and fractions from different classes do not stack.
    Breakdowns: Attack bonus breakdowns now use BAB breakdown rather than BAB based on character levels.
    Level Up View: Now displays the BAB at current level (not the version affected by enhancements)
    Data Files: Dead tracked effects removed (Tendon Slice, Lay on hands bonus, KiRegeneration, MaxKiBonus, KiBonus, Ki, BlockingDR)

    Any feedback or bug reports very welcome. There have not been many posts by people other than Ellissdee who has found a number of issues. I have no real idea how many people are using this at all.

    Question: I have been thinking of also developing a DDO Banking application, which will allow you to basically list all the items a given character has. This would use the existing items added for the DDOBuilder application. Features would be:

    Sorting by slot type, level. Multiple banks supported, by character name and shared bank. Items would be movable between accounts (e.g. You moved item from character A to character B).

    Would people find such an application useful?

    Does github not track the number of downloads?

    If not, you can use Google URL Shortener to track activity. I've been using it for a while now to keep track of how many downloads my tools get, and it works pretty well. First you add your github link to the shortener, then replace the github link in your signature with the google shortened link. Now you can go to google shortener to see how many times the link has been clicked.

    My lite tools get almost exactly 20 downloads per day, every day. There is no rush to download immediately after I post an update; the first day I get ~20 hits, the second day another 20, and so on until either I post a new update, or "everyone" (around 700ish people) gets it.

    For example, my current release was posted Nov 2nd (22 days ago) and has 470 clicks, for an average of 21.36 per day.
    The previous release was posted Sep 13th (active for 50 days) and had 781 clicks.
    The release before that was posted July 30th (active for 45 days) and had 608 clicks.
    The release before that was posted June 18th (active for 42 days) and had 701 clicks.
    The high water mark was the April 10th release (active for 66 days) with 982 clicks.

    EDIT: Each update also includes a separate source code download, which used to get clicked 50 times per update but lately is down to 30 per update.

    Another week and another build. Lots of stuff behind the scenes but should increase the quality of life.
    Going to get around to gear again at some point. Having read about the Mists of Ravenloft update on Lammania has got me thinking on how to handle all that new gear. Ouch, is all I can say. Too much data!

    On a side note one of the changes I made invalidates any current users current settings layout, so you will have to reconfigure again. Recommend that you just delete the DDOBuilder.ini file and use the new defaults as a starting point. New users are not affected by this change.

    Feat: "Call Wolf Companion" now shows up as a SLA.
    Feat: "Fascinate" now shows up as a SLA.
    Feat: "Inspire Competence" now shows up as a SLA.
    Feat: "Inspire Courage" now shows up as a SLA and have self buff effects where appropriate.

    Default Skills Question

    Skills question I am implementing the auto skill buy feature for the planner.

    Which skills are important to you for which classes?
    e.g. for A bard I would always train perform and UMD.

    If you had to rank the skills after the important ones which skills would you spend on next?
    e.g. or the bard above I would then put points into Balance, Spot... in that order.

    Any info will be of help else I will just end up choosing a weighting scheme of my own.

    Some nice changes in this version but not as much as I had hoped as work has been crazy and not had too much spare time:

    UI: Feat selection combo boxes now show feat descriptions while selection is in progress
    UI: Spell selection combo boxes now show spell descriptions while selection is in progress
    Items: A few more level 20+ cloth armors added.
    Items: Started adding new Ravenloft accessories.
    Augments: All Filigree augments updated to have RareEffects sections.
    ---Some augments can now have icons also. (Filigrees and Personality Gems currently)
    Augments: Test Jewel personalities removed, correct first starter 3 jewel types now available.
    Item Select Dialog: Dialog now has options to set selected Filigree's as rare version of each.
    Item Select Dialog: Filigrees and personalities jewels now have selection tooltips
    UI: Spell tooltips now show SP cost (not including metamagics yet)
    Feats: New special feat "Blessings of a Feather" now has its correct icon.

    Known Issue in this version: Depending on your screen layout the new drop list selection tooltips can cause feat/spell selection issues.

    Known Issue in this version: Some tooltips can be erroneosly displayed after a feat/spell/filigree selection.
    ---This is a minor one as the display of the tooltip will go away at some point.

    An possible knotty problem. As it is I have done the changes for how tomes apply already.

    I have written it in such a way that it only affects the number of skill points you have to spend, but that begs the point, on a re-spec do you get an extra skill point at level 1?

    A return after the Christmas and new year holidays. The list of things done is:


    Engine: The max tome value is now +8 for abilities
    Engine: Tomes now apply at levels 1(+2),3(+3),7(+4),11(+5),15(+6),19(+7) and 22(+8) as per Update 37 Patch 1
    ---This affects feat selections at level 1
    ---Int tome does not apply for Skill points at level 1.
    Feats: Level 1 feat selections now warn if they require a feat swap at Fred due to Tomes not applying during character creation. (This does not warn for dependent feats)
    Forum Export: Feat export now reports whether a feat swap at Fred is required due to Tomes not applying during character creation. (This does not warn for dependent feats)

    Quite a bit of development work and a few fixes in this build. No new items added except test ones. Item data is a bit of a bugbear for the moment. But I will get back to them at some point.

    Fix: Filigree tooltips now clear previous tooltips effect descriptions before displaying.
    Item Select Dialog: Weapons "Can Accept Sentience Jewel" flag now checked on an equipped item.
    Breakdowns: Old weapon breakdowns removed.

    Bard/Rangers can have both if they choose SWF before taking a second ranger level. Of course you can't have both active at the same time.

    Default Build 1.0.0.22-Alpha now available

    Quite a lot of work in this release.
    The enhancements pass continues, about 2/3rds the way through now. Weapon breakdowns have progressed a lot, although still no new items.
    Fourm export now includes weapon damage and automatic feats. It getting quite bloated in that area, as I need to provide a config dialog for what you want to be exported and in what order.

    I think the next release will be small bug fixes and an item release. Aim will be to get the last of the Ravenloft accessories done and hopefully get a good start on weapons also.

    Engine: XML library updated to indent lines to make files more human readable. Lines now saved with \r\n also.
    Fix: Save files active stances will no longer bloat with multiple copies of the same stance name. (older save files will slowly clean themselves up as stances change)
    Fix: Curse breakdown now uses Will as its base save, not reflex.
    ---Breakdown moved from reflex save to will save in breakdowns tree.
    ---Save moved in export code to Will save from Reflex save.
    Engine: Effect DieRoll field removed. New effect CriticalMultiplier19To20 added.
    ---All existing effects updated. Issues found during update:
    ------Fixed Battle Engineer: Reconstructed Armaments - Threat range bonus was erroneously Multiplier bonus.
    ------Mechanic: Expert Builder - Great Crossbow bonus multiplier is now 2.
    ------Vistani: Vendetta - threat range bonus was erroneously an attack bonus.
