    Devs are people too.

Except Lynnabel, who is apparently some kind of good cheer dispenser rather than one of those messy organics.

Default Cut scene after Spinner in Shadows turn in

I hope this is easy, I do not think it has been mentioned. Sometimes I remember, sometimes I do not, but once you have completed Spinner in Shadows and you go and collect your reward you are rewarded with a wonderful cut scene but then if you forget to lower the volume your ears bleed. Cheers.

It's great to see you smashing through some of these small fixes. It improves the quality of the game experience overall, for sure!

Here's another one : In Grim and Barett, the two trap boxes in Grim's little corridor don't actually toggle to a "disarmed" control box graphic - they remain in the "newly discovered" graphic even after they've been disarmed.

They're looking into it. DDO has some really weird licensing restrictions to the point where I believe they're not allowed to even touch certain things or I imagine by now they would have moved to the cinematic to a new NPC right next to the quest giver by now.

The best we can probably hope for is the cinematic remembering your sound settings so you can at least mute it.

In the interim all you can really do is mash the enter key and it should skip the scene before it plays. Not useful for first timer players ambushed by it but much like 90% of the nuances of DDO once you know...

There are actually quite a few of these, mostly in newer content.

Although I think occasionally it may be a lag thing.

Cool related to overly high volumes in content- VON5

A long standing problem that hopefully is a quick fix.

In VON5 (Vault of Night) when you talk to the NPC to accept the quest, the volume is ear shattering. This problem has been around forever and it would be nice to fix

No need to smash the enter key.

Just hit the [end] key once on your keyboard. It ends the video right there and return to the world screen with the NPC right in front of you showing the rewards list.

Red face agrro Problem defintely broken vs. a real situation

I understand the aggro was fixed to stop allowing the ranged players to pick off monsters one at a time, but the new system where whoever damages or influences any monster in the combat area gets ALL monster aggro (mostly ranged or caster) and allows the melees and then other casters to take pot shots at the other 15 monsters attracted to their hearts content with almost no chance or pulling back aggro is definitely even less realistic. I can understand that the guy that got an arrow in his face may be barbarian raged and not thinking straight, but the other 15 buddies are coming for a fight and would not run past 5 characters (lets say three melees and two other casters with no interest), even as they take passing potshots is definitely nothing similar to a game reality, and I personally would say even less realistic than a ranger at the far end of visual distance, being able to pick off monsters having trouble locating the culprit. I know I often have had trouble finding monsters hitting me with missiles in the game, why not them (even to the point of being killed or nearly killed- especially in elite content)?

Thumbs up Bard Hires, part 2.

    Hi Lynnabel,

Again, apologies if this was covered already, but the Ironskin Chant on any of the bard hires that have it doesn't work at all. The hire will play the song, but nothing will happen. The DR bonus isn't applied, regardless of whom is targeted.

I think they were broken when DDO moved to the current enhancement systems, and just never fixed. Would be nice if the hire clickie worked.

    Thanks much!

    Default Threnal

In the Threnal Chain, when you go back to speak to the quest givers after the final quests for the east and west excavations, the UI for restarting the quest shows up before you can really continue on the quest chain (IIRC when you are selecting loot). Often, it forces you to repeat the respective side/s before talking to the last quest giver if you bugger up. I don't enjoy that particular chain in general, but that bug makes it abhorrent.

In similar lines, can hirelings just in general get their enhancements looked at? I know in particular several rogues have Showtime, which AFAIK no longer exists.

And also in similar lines, healer hires often have their rez buttons bork. They just become unclickable, and you have to do some arcane mix of summoning and toggling through passive/defensive/active to get them working again. And meanwhile, your buddy's dead, you're in the midst of combat, and you could REALLY use some help, but you can't even focus on fighting because you're trying to get the rez to work again. And oh look, now you're dead too, and the only one left alive is the hir- *DING* ...Nevermind.

I've found that if you put them on aggressive and summon them to you then they will ~sometimes~ cast rez of their own volition. I have not figured out a way to reliably be able to force cast it on a particular target.

Some hires are worse then others at this. I'm looking at you Wyoh.

Entirely possible to fix! I'll need to confirm if the stack sizes set were intentional. Do you have a list on-hand of the irregular ones?
If the list is "All Oddities" I've got some for you.

    • Epic Tapestry Shreds (200)
    • Antique Coin(1K, Presumably all the other Cannith challenge mat's too.)
    • Mark of House Cannith(10)
    • Mark of the Yugoloth (10)
    • Mark of the Silver Flame(10)
    • +10$ Crafting Success Percentage Boost (100, Favor reward from cannith, Also the RBG block in its description does not show when examined in crafting storage tab, or while in green bag. Does work when in inventory..)
    • Sweet Whitecap(500)
    • Ruddy Fungus(500)
    • Blessed Candle(500)
    • Skull Fragment(500)
    • White Ice Games Coin(100)
    • Copper Festivult coin(100)
    • Silver Festivult Coints(100)
    • Gold Festivult Coins(100)
