As you suggested, I followed the link and read it full through.
The rude poster (their own words) initiated the appology circle by combing through OW support and found someone to relay their appology to Kaplan, who then replied. Had said rude poster not initiated the apologetic follow-up, that story seems quite likely to have ended with the Dev's comment.
I especially like this closing from the rude poster: "So moral of the story, appreciates the devs. Don't be rude like I was because they truly care about their players. I've learned from my mistakes..."
Now turning our heads back to DDO, I wonder how many of our rude posters go to any effort (let alone the efforts of the OW rude poster) to make amends for their Dev-targeted bull shenanigans? So maybe not "screw that guy," but more "dude, ya had it coming." Fling enough **** and eventually it comes back on ya - or at least it should. If you're going to tell someone how to do their job, at least do some diligence to be in the ballpark of correct.
