Can you give epic spellcasting hirelings the quicken feat always enabled? That 5 second resurrection casting time... and that "feels-like 2-day" mass-heal casting time on some that they decide to cast mid-battle, while wandering between the monsters and the players...

    Quality of life improvements....

Popup Windows on the game view screen.

    1. add resize corner to XP and Examination windows.
Not everything fits when viewing these windows..
and of course these constantly refresh and reset so it wont hold on the section you actually want to see

examination window gets screwed up anytime a buff is cast or an aura is going.. like paladins..

    2. add expand/compression lines to each part of the XP window..
Kills, traps, secret doors, deaths, so we can shrink hide the details and just see the bonus levels.
or stop the screen from scrolling around automatically and stay where I set the slider...

    3. add a lock for the map.. I like to keep my map open all the time, but every time I switch an instance or zone the map size resets or closes..
I don't care If I have a big black zone around a smaller map area, I would like to keep my map frame the same static size.

    4. pop-ups for NPC's like vendors.. the windows don't remember where I place them on my screens..( I play on 3x24" monitors in 5760x1080 resolution.)
Vendor interface pops up on the far right side of my right screen.. when I [control][left click] to purchase a keyed in amount, that smaller popup window shows up on the far left of my left screen.
I can move the vendor screen/mail screen/whatever screen around but it does not retain that information when I close and reopen the NPC interface.

Default Airship captain / farshifter bug

    Repro steps:

    1. Talk to the airship captain, you get a dialog of possible destinations, including the Hall of Heroes.
    2. Choose "I want the Farshifter to send me someplace", you get a second dialog with additional destinations.
    3. Choose "Actually, I'd just like to be dropped off in Stormreach", you go back to the original dialog (sort of) but WITHOUT the Hall of Heroes option.

Y'know, I thought I was imagining things when the captain forgot about HoH the other day! Glad to see I'm not lol (I usually go to the farshifter's chambers when I want to go to HoH, simply because it's closer unless I happen to be on the top deck anyway.) I just assumed that I was mistaken about having seen the HoH there in the past and went down to the farshifter's chambers lol

Does KA/Gladewatch still drop you off at the OLD location of KA, or did they finally fix that?

On a related note, the exit door at the end of Spies in the House dropping you off in the Harbor is rather annoying.

That quest has the most unfriendly door in the game - doesn't just take you out of the quest without warning, it sends you all the way to Eveningstar (or used to, at least, I no longer try going through it anymore lol). It's actually probably very useful if you have DD, do that quest third, and need to go pick up Portal, but otherwise it's a real "What the frack!" swear-at-the-game moment. That needs some kind of confirmation dialogue... or just needs to be shut.

    Default Cannith Crafting Shard Titles

Can you add appropriate titles to EVERY minimum level shard?

Currently, I think the shards <30 that don't say anything at the end are bound shards. But, the ones for 30+ that don't say anything at the end are unbound. I always forget which is which and that's my fault I guess, but they should be easily identifiable if they're alone in a bag. I feel they should just all be labeled with "(bound)" or "(unbound)" as appropriate.

    Thanks

Which reminds me of another specific small glitch - unlike every other cosmetic, the Captain of Bling cosmetic from the anniversary turnin is never visible when you log in - you have to turn off the helmet display then turn it back on again before it displays, every time.

Great catch. I've made sure they're all blue now.

I've got a fun one for you, Lynn

In many quests, it seems there are encounters where the game tries to play combat music, when it shouldn't. You know how in quests like What Goes Up, the music is static? There are certain encounters where the music is supposed to be static, but isn't, and as a result, all music stops when you engage in combat.

Here's a list I've put together in no particular order of quest pack/level:

    • Sinister Storage
      • Anywhere in the quest. (This is the quickest way to observe the bug for yourself)

    • Undermine
      • During the end fight with Kaboom the Demolitions Master.

    • Eyes of Stone
      • During the end fight with Hesstess the medusa.

    • In The Flesh
      • During the end fight.

    • Frame Work
      • Anywhere within the Matador Village. This doesn't happen outside of the Village, or in the Chieftain's room.

    • Lost in the Swamp
      • During the end fight with the Medusa, Sshaastess.

    • The Sane Asylum
      • During the end fight with Nurse Ratchet.

    • Missing
      • During the end fight with Mister Smythe.

    • All House Cannith Challenges, or at least most of them
      • Example: anywhere inside Dr. Rushmore's Mansion.

There very likely is more locations, but I'm having trouble remembering. Certainly not a game breaking bug by any stretch of the imagination, but for those of us who actually enjoy the music, it can be annoying.

I Don't know if this within your ever growing skill set.

    Default Stay frosty shiridia

Stay frosty from shiardi has several issues. Hover over text from ed screen says one thing. Hover text when stance is active on buff bar says another. Stance actually does as described from buff hover. Thank you for these fixes.

Some spells/feats/abilities such as Prismatic Spray and Blade Barrier have the DC listed as a solid number (ie: "DC: 45") in addition to the formula (ie: " 20 + the highest of your INT/WIS/CHA modifiers + Evocation bonuses"). However, there are many spells and abilities that don't have a number listed even though they clearly (to me at least) should. A couple of examples are Burst of Glacial Wrath and Implosion. In addition, Sorcerer SLAs such as Fireball and Niac's Cold Ray do not have a DC shown in their description, but the trained spells do have the DC in their desciption. Not sure if this is something you can fix though and I'll have to do more research to see exactly what spells/SLAs don't have a listed DC in the description.

Can the same be done for epic 3BC loot? Two named items have green border:

    Orcish Privateer's Boots
    Cannoneer's Goggles

Also, Drowned Priest's Torch has no border at all - looks like a non-magical torch.

OK, I doubt this is within remit of Lynn's authority, but I suspect it's within her ever-growing skillset... so I guess don't ask don't get:

Lynnabel, can you change the automatic LFM so it only goes to +2 levels in range over the quest you're entering please?

Defaults should reflect the most common options that a player would select and in a BB world, +3 over quest level creates an XP penalty that a player who wants a group automatically set up for them is highly unlikely to select (not never but certainly not the majority of the time), and Reaper groups I would expect don't use the automatic LFM very often either.

Better yet, change the autoLFM to be =QL for Reaper quests, and QL+2 for normal/hard/elite

Here's one. May be beyond your skills but I'd like to see if this is even something SSG is aware of is a bug.

Sometimes when you complete the main quest, objectives completed after award 0 exp. This one where this is most obvious is Lesson in Deception where if you keep everyone alive, 80+% of the time you'll get 0 xp for it. I've also had this happen in wizard king where after completing the main quest I've gotten 0 xp for getting into the treasure room or even doing other towers.

It has that china-imported-to-usa engrish feel" and most have quit >_>

So yeah, I for one love the fact you're going through and fixing the minor things.

If I had a say, i'd say that DDO should have one staff member whose job title is "Fixing The Little Things" and their job is to handle stuff like this.
I agree. I've enticed a small number of friends into trying the game across the years. Several have mentioned String Table errors and other obvious mistakes such as typos and the like. These things are prominent and noticeable, they stand out and make what is otherwise a good product the subject of jokes and speculation about the amount of grade school levels the people who made those errors or types have achieved.

None of the people I've gotten to try the game have lasted much past Korthos. Like it or hate it (and it could use some improvements IMO), Korthos does a good job of guiding the players through the quests. Both by virtue of being a very small area with obviously connected NPCs and quests, and through the DM narration.

Once in Stormreach this starts to fall apart, as players start to be able to talk to NPCs who offer them quests beyond their level to accomplish, and so that quest will never again have the flashing yellow bar on their map leading them to the quest. And while they could abandon the quest to get that functionality back, at that stage in their play experience most are unaware of the Adventure Compendium and the ability to abandon a quest. And they are also unaware of a lot of other things that make their play time more fun and less frustrating. Not a single one of the people I have gotten to give DDO a try have stayed with it much past Korthos, and all of them have played one or more other MMOs across the years. And all of them have played D&D for years as well. So it wasn't the game type or genre that drove them away.

Simply selecting the quest in the adventure compendium brings that functionality back.

But I agree, that, and a few other interface items, could be covered better during the early levels. The tips that show up are, well, intrusive but not entirely helpful in some cases, and do miss some key items.
