A question about the upgrade supreme tomes

I have a toon I want to buy an upgrade tome for +5 to +6. but he has a +6 int tome already so I cant even view it in store except on my alts. Are they btc or bta? is it safe for me to purchase it and send it to my main through the shared bank? I am too scared to spend the points without knowing.

Just wondering but why are you not just buying it with your main character( the one you want to use tome with)?

Because it won't show for him since he has a +6 int tome but +5 everything else. So the only way it is visible to me for purchase is if I'm on an alt.

You actually get six tomes, one for each stat, so you can save the Int 5-6 tome for another character.
