    Default Mysterious Remnants Auto Collect

Where are we on changing mysterious remnants to being auto collected like token shards? Seems like it's a no-brainer.

Same mechanics, even. Auto-collect the ones that drop from mobs, manually collect the ones from chests.

I'm with Shoemaker, but I'd be happy with even just autocollect dropped. Like treasure bags should be IMO also.

They have already stated that this won't happen, and is WAI. If we auto-collect, then you only have to run 1 toon through a dungeon and get remnants in 5 others who are sitting at the entrance. In fact, the ones that drop have a 3 minute time limit, so after 3 minutes you can't pick them up. (Besides, clicking is not that much of an issue).

Some of the things you can get with them are pretty powerful (additional PRR/MRR, etc), and changing it would allow you to gather more on all your accounts at once.

And because they are BtA, then to get them to be auto-gathered from chests would require snowflake code, and I would rather not have that.

My real issue with them not auto-gathering is there are certain quests where chances are very high on losing the remnants for various reasons. Arena battles (Breaking the Ranks, for instance) where you don't really have much of a chance to just pause and run around collecting; quests with floors breaking away or auto-teleporting (I've lost remnants from the Maruts in Vol more times than I can count; I've also lost them from the endfight of Mirror); quests where you have to split up, or at least that's generally how they're played. Hell, I've missed out on rems simply because nobody bothered to rez me.

I don't have an issue with needing to confirm remnants in chests; you have to do that with all BtA/BtC items. But there's no good reason not to have auto-gather. And no, I don't consider "alts piking at the start getting free remnants" to be a 'good reason' for that. But even if the devs considered that a reason, I suspect they could set a range limit.

    Agreed.

I don't think it's a real issue. Was it an issue for people to get auto-gathered Epic Tokens? No, it was not. And Tokens for Hearts potentially cuts into Turbine profits a lot more than Remnants do. How many people are seriously going to park 5 alt accounts (not just alts, but whole separate accounts!) and farm Remnants just to avoid buying Store +2 Lasting Pots? Maybe in all of DDO player-dom, there's 1 guy that nuts. Or maybe not.

They do not auto-collect because it was exploitable. I was able to get a couple hundred thousand in a few days when they auto collected. That is why it was changed and why it will never be changed back to auto-collect.
