A couple of years ago when I was on the PC, a few of us suggested something along these lines for the third artificer tree. I don't recall exactly the traps suggested, but basically having the third tree be a trap and turret summon/creation tree. But I do like the idea of a trap summoning spell like this...
It just seems weird that they get two things (flame turret and fire trap) and one of them is dreadful (fire trap).
They could stand to drastically reduce the cooldown on Fire Trap.

Can't remember where I suggested it (might have been PC, mighta been public forums), but I remember putting forth the idea of being able to temporarily summon one of the repeating ballistas from haunted halls into a tree as a tier 5 ability - and while powerful there's still the drawbacks of being immobile & unable to do anything else while using it, which are some fairly significant drawbacks to keep it balanced - still, being able to, say, in a raid have someone "man the turret!" could be a lot of fun![]()
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.
