Yeah I'm not exactly sure where to put everything yet, was going to try and hash that out with the crafter but I`ll get off my butt and take a look.

Crafting for others is not in a good place..

I think you would be better off maxing out your own crafting, the crafting for others costs twice the collectibles over and above the cost/time of maxing out the crafting levels.

Getting some level 34 shards from a crafter would be good, but for the other shards you might be better off leveling up your own crafting.

The unbound level shards just cost essences, but the other unbound shards cost a lot of PEDs which are bound and not especially common.

It's enough good if this others ready to properly pay for crafting... Unfortunately, it's very, very rare currently. 8)

Problems are the bta Purified Eberron Draginshards.

Still a problem because they are pretty rare. At least in my world.

I have crafting at level 400 which caps out at 650,040 crafting xp.
Now to craft a shard.. Take for instance an insightful STR stat shard.

Ingredients required..
850 Cannith Essences.. no big deal easy to get by deconning a bunch of junk..
30 Crypt moths (T6 Natural (Levels 26+): Common drop.. not overly difficult to get. regular questing of 50ish epic quests
10 Ornate Charms T6 Cultural (Levels 26+) Uncommon drop.. will take a bit of farming.. or just a lot of quest running
5 Token of the spinner T6 Cultural (Levels 26+): Rare .. drops in same places as ornate charms
10 Purified Eberron Dragonshard fragments.. a BTA ingredient.. so.. would have to supply items convertible to PED's or compensate..

To craft this top tier level 425 shard the success rate is only 16%. (based on current crafting cap of level 400)
.. so..
1. a booster would be a likely requirement to up the success rate.
Best booster 35% for a 25 use pack from the DDO store for 125TP.
Now your crating success chance is 51%..

so basically a 50/50 chance to craft the shard..
now you at down to luck.. and twice as many ingredients..



Self crafting (BTA)..
same insightful strength shard using bound level crafting 275 (under 300k Crafting XP)
275 Cannith Essences
15 Crypt moths
5 Purified Eberron Dragonshard fragments
100% success chance, no boosters needed..



Unbound crafting just doesn't compare..

alternatively.. collect or otherwise get a 100k of cannith essences(10 stacks), get the best xp bonus pot (DDO store or the starter trainer guy at the entrance) and basically 30 minutes of mindless clicking at the shard crafting alters and you are self crafting ready to go..

A little background here: I donated all my collectables and most of my essences to a guild crafter who is now missing in action and frankly I find crafting boring. I may be willing to part with a tp code and I do have ebberon dragonshards but I generally give away my tomes. I don`t think any of my past trading partners would call me cheap but I do have a budget so I`ll see what I can do. If anyone is interested please do contact me and we can talk. Otherwise I may level my crafter as suggested or put up with what I can make out of random drops.
