Angry I guess I'm just stupid.

    Ok, please bear with me
First I'm a VIP. I try to play quest in Eveningstar (this is just an example), but it tell me to go get an adventure pack. cool. I go to the DDO store, there are no adventure packs to be had (there are sections, but they are empty). So what has my dumb ass missed?

    nothing.

they are not in the store - they are in http://store.turbine.com/store/turbi...emeID.29252200

seems like they would make it easier to get expansions - but no

    Its not you..

in my opinion, SSG has not done a good job with how packs and expansions are sold in the game.
It is very confusing for players to unlock purchase sections of the game, especially expansion stuff..

The overlap of FR and Eveningstar is not clean in what is part of an expansion and what isn't.. what can be accessed with packs and what cant...
It needs well defined clear boundaries of what is what without ***ing your way through it..
a serious revamp of the 'KISS' treatment.. so even the most drunkenly challenged players cant screw it up...

I would be wary of purchasing expansion codes currently.

    a current thread...
    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...keys-are-fixed!!!

there are incidences being reported over the last couple months of purchased codes not applying to player accounts..
Haven't seen any acknowledgement or responses by SSG staff to player concerns in the forums..
so no idea if they are looking into it or even aware....

i cant find it - but i seem to remember a workaround was making sure to put both codes in game, not in the account area

    Default Thank you all

Well I feel better now, just one more question, can you buy expansion packs with DDO points or no???
And I will be waiting since there seems to be a problem, thanks for the heads up on that.

    makes sense..
but still.. if even you cant find it without a lot of difficulty that doesn't bode well for newish players...

which then points back to SSG...
~need to make it easy for customers to spend their money and satisfactorily complete their transactions as hassle free as possible...
~having to PM staff in the forums since there is no phone number to call, a complicated contact process, not getting immediate resolution, subpar bug report process... all bad CS issues....
~The whole process needs to be dumbed down and cleaned up so they don't need to get involved in babysitting what should be simple automated transactions.

    No.
expansion is separate from the in store transactions.. guess they wanted to get cash infusion for the expansions so they had it in another store system..

but again.. don't know if these recently purchased codes are working
.. they did back when Turbine owned the game and the expansions first came out... but its SSG now..

Hopefully at some point a Dev or CS_ALKAID will chime in and clear things up.
