    Default "Master of X" Epic Feats

    Do these actually do anything at all? It doesn't seem like it from the description that states it adds +10 to the max caster level but doesn't say that it increases the Caster Level (IE number of damage dice).

    My 20 Cleric in EA already casts Searing Light and Sun Bolt @ level 28 according to the combat log but I know the damage dice for Searing Light are still (Caster Level 10)/2 d4+4 = 5d4+20 and Sun Bolt is (Caster Level 15) d4+4 = 15d4+60.

    Will Master of Light increase the damage dice of...

    Searing light to (Caster level 10 +10)/2 d4+4 = 10d4+40

    and Sun Bolt to (Caster level 15 +10) d4+4 = 25d4+100?


    The AoV Enhancement Intense Faith increase Caster Level by +3 and Zealous Faith increases MAX Caster Level by 3.

    Maybe I am not understanding all this correctly but it seems incredibly effing pointless to increase +10 to max caster level with these "Master of X" Feats when there is nothing pushing the CASTER LEVEL up +10. I know some gear adds to caster level and some enhancements from various classes but these Feats just kinda seem MEH based on the description and my game understanding.

    I feel I will be better served taking anything else other than Master of Light Feat on my Cleric or any other Master of X Feat on any toon (besides MoK) when I take level 24.

    You just demonstrated the point; namely many spells have much lower MCL than the CL you can hit in epics. By boosting MCL on these spells, you make them more useful in epic lvls.

    Now whether MoL is better than, say, another metamagic or whatever, that depends on other considerations as well.

    That's what I'm looking for. I appreciate the clear concise answer.

    I just have to decide if taking Emp Heal @ 24 in the off chance I do more Reaper content is more of a benefit than getting a bump in Dam/SP for just zerging through EH/EN and occasional EE with a group. It'd be a toss-up between Intensify (more bang on Cleric SLAs as well as NUKE EM FROM ORBIT SP draining) or a few more dice from 5 spells (SLA Sun Bolt, Sun Bolt, SLA Searing Light, Searing Light, DP) in rotation which is better for single target and mopping up after AOE I'd imagine.

    Default Coolio.

    Went ahead and took Master of Light @ 24 and re-specced EA ED to pick up Sun Bolt from there in addition to the one from DD.

    Really liking the damage from Dual Sun Bolts. Especially if mobs line up and I target the one in the back.

    The bump in damage for Searing Light is not stellar and I havn't observed a stack of DP long enough to notice yet.
