Warlock Aiming problems

Sometimes it works. I will put the target on an mob or object and it its. Othertimes it just shoot up in the air for no reason and I have to point almost straight down just to have it hit. Is there a fix to this?

Aiming at objects kind of blows chunks, have to aim very low. Aiming right after something dies sucks, the next blast goes up into the sky over the previous target's position.
