George Lucas was never going to finish the story...so I'm glad he sold it to Disney. Now I just wish he would take his 4 bills and go away.

Don't get me wrong...Lucas should be in the Sci-Fi all of fame and I'm forever grateful that he gave us this story. But now that it belongs to Disney...he's just making himself look bad.

The Force Awakens was a ripoff of everything before it. But Abrams does that (see the Trek stuff he did). I am not optimistic about The Last Jedi but I think it will be better than TFA.

Rogue One was great {though not in the same ball-park as the originals of course} but The Farce Awakens was an absolute atrocity!

The problem is that unlike say Attack of the Clones {another atrocity} The Farce Awakens was a WELL-MADE atrocity! Technically they did everything right ONLY they forgot that lore-wise they were literally killing the franchise along with said franchise's most loved character! {amongst many other massive issues!}.

As far as I'm concerned The Last Jedi has absolutely nothing to do with Star Wars and I have absolutely no intention of ever watching it because unfortunately it is tied to The Farce Awakens.

I will give the Young Han Solo movie next year the benefit of the doubt but honestly I don't see that going well either.



Oh and Jyn Erso is a far better character than little miss Mary-Sue!

I disagree about Jyn Erso, she and the rest of the cast were dull and lifeless, but I blame Gareth Edwards for directing it his shi*ty way...

Remove any SW fan service and R1 becomes a 6/10 generic sci-fi movie.

Also, the FA was an incredibly well made piece of turd, but a turd nonetheless. I give it a generous 7/10.

The magic that once was cannot be recreated - be it Star Wars, or Star Trek, or what have you.

The best we can hope for is to gain a couple/few hours of entertainment. If it turns out that something happens to exceed expectations, than that's just gravy.

That said, I'll be there in the theater to check it out when it goes live. As long as they never EVER pull another Jar Jar fiasco, I'll hang with the movie chain.

Whomever it was that said "oh yeah we are having Luke saying that it is time for the Jedi to end" should be found and shot! Never once did he say that in the expanded universe and worked stupidly hard to rebuild the Jedi from the ground up.

The Farce Awakens was a joke and should be nuked from orbit since it has broken so many things in the EU and beyond.

Rogue One was a good film except for the fact that Chewie should have been dead and Han Solo NEVER EVER LOST THE FALCON! What utter muppet thought that it was a good idea to write that in should also be shot!

Okey dokey. We'll give you a call when that sort of thing stops making money. But as a GM as well as an MMO player, I'm a giant huge fan of the 'more stories in the same world' approach. It sort of gives me hope for the future. I think its probably getting old that means I can now admit this - I look back over my accumulated collection of... stuff, and I think its always been how I've felt though.

So: Yay, star wars! It's better than another Twilight or a Fast and Furious movie! Yay!

I'll take a 7/10 "Star Wars Turd" over most of the **** that comes out these days. A bad day watching Star Wars is still better than sitting at work wishing I was watching Star Wars.
