    Default Game system question: Log in clean up

    Hi everyone!

    I recently got a new computer, and of course, had to reinstall DDO on it.

    Unfortunately, I made a noob mistake and clicked on the first server than popped up in the new log in window and then tried to find my characters - which of course weren't there - because the first server listed wasn't my 'home' server. After a moment of panic set in, I realized what I had done, and then logged in normally to the correct server.

    Problem is now, it shows that I haven't logged into the other server in X amount of weeks on the sign in window - which annoys me, because I will NEVER make any characters or log on that server in the future. My OCD screams at me to get this removed every time I log in now. Does anyone know an easy way (short of reinstalling again) to clean up the log in window so the other server's 'away' time is purged?

    Thanks!

    To remove the Server Login time stamps; just edit your DDO 'UserPreferences.ini' file. Find the text section: [User_1].

    For example using file: UserPreferences.ini (within /Dungeons and Dragons Online/ folder - same one where your DDO screenshots go depending upon your OS)

    Code:
    [User_1]
    UserName=your_login_name
    WorldName_1=Thelanis
    LastPlayed_1=2016-09-24T00:04:00
    UserFileName_1=en-DDO-EULA-Turbine-html
    UserAckTime_1=2013-11-14T14:13:00
    UserFileName_2=en-DDO-TOS-html
    UserAckTime_2=2013-11-14T14:13:10
    WorldName_2=Lamannia
    LastPlayed_2=2016-09-01T12:00:00
    It should be safe to delete that specific text under the UserName line, and the game will rebuild those login lists when you you login to a specific world. Your list will look slightly different (i.e. Worlds/times listed) but you just need to delete ALL those text lines entirely which are below UserName. Taking care you only delete those lines and not other sections then save the file.

    Then try running the DDO client as normal, you possibly won't need to reboot the PC first, after saving the file changes but it never harms.

    Do NOT delete [User_1] or UserName=your_login_name of course your own login name will be there not the place holder in my example.

    Of course make a backup copy of the file first and ONLY delete the lines I've mentioned.

    I'm glad my solution helped solve your dilemma and thanks for positive feedback. Because lot of people whom start posts asking for technical help, forget to give feedback as to whether a suggested solution worked. :D

    Aside: deleting the time stamps in the same fashion within that file can sometimes also rectify a bug regarding Characters timing out for a specific server. When the user's game is fully functional, and they can login to all other servers without hiccup. Except for when they attempt to select their Character(s) on one specific server.

    So the feedback was appreciated, I have characters on also servers (for Favour reasons mostly) but I also prefer to have the other server logins clear the majority of the time. As nigh on most of the time I'll be playing on my home server. Have a safe journey.
