    Default TRing a rogue.....advice needed

Have a useless rogue (lvl 21) that is beyond help and will be disposed of via TR. I want to know what class and race would benefit the best from a rogue past life excluding Artys. It has no gear to speak of so I lose nothing with a TR.

any multiclass that synergizes well with some rogue levels for detrap bonuses?

a ranger rogue hybrid i.e. if you like two weapon fighting melee?

any other build on which adding basic evasion and detrap skills would not be a loss? I guess?

Know the Angles tactics builds need INT so that works with having some INT for detrap, too

edit: nvm I misread that somehow ...didnt say you want rogue levels again next life.

so yeah well sneak attack builds, could be melee or ranged or both rly. ranger rogue and monk trees offer some sneak dice, so do melee druid trees if memory serves right.

as for race, anything where you could pick up more sneak attack dice to add (human, halfling, shadarkai)

    ...another rogue?

The passive feat: "Each time you acquire this feat you gain +2 to saves vs. traps and deal +1 damage when sneak attacking."
The active feat: "You have +1 to all skills and three times per rest you can skulk with the skill of your past life, gaining bonuses equal to your level to your hide and move silently skills, a +1 bonus to sneak attack damage for every two character levels after first, and a +1 bonus to hit with sneak attacks for every four levels."

So it benefits a trapper, stealth builds, or anyone with sneak attacks. If you don't want another rogue, ranger or monk is a good alternative, IMO, since there are sneak atk bonuses in DWS and Ninja, respectively. If you plan to spend any time at level cap next life, the active PL is particularly nice for a build with Scion of the Ethereal Plane: "+1 point of Sneak Attack damage for every 3 points of Hide you have." So that +30 temp bonus to Hide translates into +10 SA in addition to the +15 SA from the clickie itself.

Thanks, but not another rogue, it was fun until lvl 12-15 then I fought tooth and nail to get to 20 and epics are just to hard to stay alive. This rogue proves I can't build/run one and another would be beating a dead horse. Hopefully a class the could benefit somewhat passively from a rogue past life. Tks for the help

    Sorry to hear that, happens.

Are you committed to TR? Would starting down a Racial Reincarnation path be better suited to what you like to play? It would, of course, depend entirely on your current race. (Just a thought)

as Unbongwah stated so well, the active PL clickie is a lot of DPS for endgame builds with high MP/RP due to the scaling of sneak damage and its DR bypass.

Otherwise, passively, any class benefits (trap saves) and classes that do not draw heavy aggro will proc more damage. (Even heavy aggro you can use dual improved deception and get more sneak damage).

I am curious--what rogue build were you using? Staff, assassin, Gxbow?
